MBA
MBA (Master of Business Administration) is one of the most prestigious
postgraduate programs in India. Candidates from any discipline or academic
background can pursue MBA. Whether you are a working professional trying to
upskill yourself or a fresher who wants to start big, MBA is the right path for you.

An MBA degree provides you with deep practical knowledge of business

management. There are various types of MBA depending on the candidate's
preference. There are full-time MBA programs, Online MBA programs, Distance
MBA programs, Executive MBA programs, and One-year MBA programs, and
MBA integrated courses.

An ideal MBA degree is a full time MBA degree where a candidate spend 2 years
in a B-School where the first year is dedicated to clearing your concepts and
teaching fundamentals of business management and the second year is for deep
understanding of the specialization course you picked (Finance, Marketing,
Operations Management, Leadership, Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and many
more).

Why is an MBA degree important?

An MBA degree is essential for that extra push one’s career needs. Any
candidate without an MBA degree will have to give a minimum of 4-5 years of
diligent work before they secure a top position in any company since he has to
start from the bottom. On the other hand, a candidate with an MBA degree can
start at a top position in the very beginning and then move up to the CXO level.

Quality Education from Top B-Schools

Top B-Schools in India give state of the art infrastructure and exceptional
resources that make a candidate stand out from the rest of the crowd. The
curriculum designed by these Institutions gives a holistic approach to all the
candidates. The knowledge builds a confidence in candidates that helps them
solve complex problems in an organization.

Monetary Benefit
Graduates from top B-Schools get placed in companies like Accenture Strategy
& Consulting, Kearney, Bain & Company, KPMG, McKinsey & Co., Citibank,
Goldman Sachs, Asian Paints, Dabur, Reliance Industries Limited, Bharti
Enterprises, MasterCard, Titan Company Ltd. Deloitte, etc, with an average salary
of 40-45 lacs.

The average income for an MBA graduate is much higher than an employee's
with a regular Master's. You can expect to earn twice as much as what you would
get from a regular university degree.

Career Progression
With an MBA degree from top B-Schools candidates get placed in the
organization in the top positions. Some candidates even start at a managerial
level and fasttrack their career to reach a CXO level.

An MBA degree holder gets to be in the cream of the organization. 30-40% of

MBA students tend to acquire high positions in top companies. Despite the
pandemic, the placement records for MBA colleges showed similar trends to
non-COVID times.

Versatility
An MBA degree doesn’t block a candidate in terms of role in the company. A
candidate can easily shift between roles based on his interest. An MBA degree
gives candidates a broad understanding of business management with
candidates discussing case studies from actual scenarios. Therefore, they are
able to handle tricky situations at the workplace with ease.

For example, Chetan Bhagat, an IIM Ahmedabad graduate, who is now a famous
author and a columnist. Harsha Bhogle, an IIM Ahmedabad graduate, is now a
successful cricket commentator and journalist. Amish Tripathi, author of the Shiva
Trilogy which was the fastest-selling book series in Indian publishing history,
graduated from IIM Calcutta.

What is an ideal time to go for an MBA

degree?
Candidates should go for an MBA degree either immediately after their
graduation or after obtaining 2 year of work experience

Where to do an MBA from?

In today’s era, it is crucial for candidates to do an MBA from top B-Schools in
India. Getting admission in top B-Schools will help candidates secure a good job
with a decent salary package. Therefore, selecting a good B-School is important.

their ‘Final Composite Score (FCS). For every B-School the final score will be
different based on their criteria.
