The product is not in a tangible form and hence a lot of supply chain concepts cannot be

evaluated. However, it can have the following operation management concepts applied.

Key suppliers and customers

The key suppliers for the application would be the therapists that we would be getting on

board with us. The customers demographics include:

Demographic of the customers:

The objective clients for my service would be the LQBTQ populace of Virginia Beach.

At first the main interest group would be restricted to this area however with the accomplishment

of the application, it will be presented in the close by geographic areas too.

Psychographics of the customer:

The psychographics of the objective populace incorporates the LQBTQ populace

between 23 years to 37 years, attempting to look for proficient assistance with respect to IVF

postpartum. The objective populace would be people who are reluctant to look for proficient

assistance outside the solace of their homes.

Logistics Evaluation:

The supplier the case of my business would be the therapists and psychologists. It is

important to ensure their scrutiny is done on continues basis to ensure the supply chain for the

business is not disrupted. The following steps mentioned above will be used for the scrutiny of

the supply chain for my business.

The following image illustrates the supply chain process for one of the physical

assessment issues that require the therapists to be assigned to the patients. This scenario

illustrates that the application will identify the onboard patient and make a pre-visit. After that a

home visit will be conducted to assess and prescribe the number of sessions required. Next, the

training cycle will begin followed by the assessment cycle and finally the whole programme will

be reviewed to assess the effectiveness and the patient assessment.

Production & service delivery procedures:

Product: The product will be launched in the form of an application.

Price: It will allow the users to select a therapist as per the pricing which is appropriate and

affordable for them.

Place: The application would be launched on digital media and it will be a technology based

product but once the product takes a kick start, a physical location would be allotted for the

customer care.

Promotion: The promotion would be done digitally since the product itself is digital.

People: The product will solve the mental issues faced by the people without having them feel

conscious about it. It will be entirely technology based and the privacy of the clients will be

maintained at the highest priority.

Work flow of the supply chain:

For the clients who wish to get purely mental based therapy the following operations chart will

be used and implemented. The counselling will be divided into two parts once the client seeks

help. However, the further process remains same for both of the sub groups based on their need

of intervention and the supervision they require.

DMAIC

As for the DMAIC process, for therapy at home we will be utilizing this for the testing of our

application.

In the first step of the DMAIC problem solving method, we will focus on what the problem is

and how it has affected us as a company.

These are the steps that can be followed:

• Create a problem statement which should include a definition of the problem in quantifiable

terms and the severity of the problem.

•  Make sure necessary resources such as a team leader and competent team members, and funds

etc. are available at hand.

•  Develop a goal statement based on our problem statement. It should be a measurable and time-

bound target to achieve.

In the next step, we would measure the extent of the problem. To do so you need to examine the

process in its current state to see how it performs. The detailed process map created in the

‘Define’ phase can help us with this. The baseline measurements we will need to look into in this

phase, are process duration, the number of defects, costs and other relevant metrics. These

baseline measurements will be used as the standards against which the team will measure their

success in the ‘Improve’ phase. The analyze phase of the DMAIC process is about identifying

the root cause that is causing the problem

Ethical considerations:
Online psychotherapy can improve and enhance access to health care services and

evidence-based care, especially for those living in rural or remote areas and populations that are

underserved for other reasons. Services can be accessed anywhere and at any time, allowing

greater flexibility. This is advantageous for both therapist and patient, enabling immediate and

timely care. Online psychotherapy may also facilitate more frequent contact between patient and

therapist, and as more therapists are available to the patient, specialist care is easier to access,

and the range of services is wider.

However, there are several ethical considerations as well that need to be considered.

Among concerns about privacy, confidentiality, security, and safety in online psychotherapy, one

relates to the use of unsecured websites or unencrypted communication tools, like commercially

available software that is easily hacked. Data security may also be compromised when

technology fails, with potential breaches of confidentiality that might extend beyond the

therapist's control.

To provide online psychotherapy, training is needed to ensure appropriate technology-

related competences, as well as clinical and therapeutic competences specific to the online

setting. In particular, the therapist would require knowledge of ethical approaches and

guidelines, as well as specific legal requirements and policies. In general, therapeutic skills in in-

person contact do not automatically translate into online therapeutic skills. At present, standards

are not well defined, and there are few training or education programs for online psychotherapy,

which is not included in most traditional curricula.
