Case Facts:
FIS Consulting Services is a business outsourcing company that
specializes in consulting for clients worldwide. These incidents involved
poor leadership, team competition, lack of coordination, insufficient
sharing, and limited collaboration among offshore project teams. From
the beginning, the team was focused on achieving a high performance
evaluation rating without completing the task together. This group
exhibits immature traits that can be caused by overcrowding. Ineffective
leadership and lack of discipline will lead the team to move forward with
conflicting beliefs and lack of proper guidance and direction. These factors
lead to a decrease in the team's performance. In addition, this case
damaged the company's reputation. HR managers are expected to work
hard to save the project team and the image of the company in the eyes
of the client.
Case Analysis:
Lack of Decision Making Authority
Philly is unable to manage his responsibilities in controlling the team and
allowing his subordinates to take all the initiative. Rishi took charge of
Philly and took advantage of Philly's tendency to make late decisions.
Ineffective role models
Every group looks to their leaders and leaders as role models who follow
their own path. An ineffective leader always equates to an ineffective
team, even if the members are uniquely suited to the task, as in FIS
counseling.
Accountability
Philly can't help team members by not being able to balance personal
issues with work issues. Loyalty and responsibility to team and project is
lacking.
Lack of consensus
Rishi does not feel comfortable with other members outside his group and
does not participate in making decisions and distributing work.
Lack of seriousness
Philly and Rishi did not take the project seriously and gave their duties
and responsibilities to others.
Clear Vision

mission of the project to all members.
