Jollibee Foods Corporation
Jollibee is the Philippines' largest fast food chain, with over 750 locations
nationwide. Jollibee is the dominant market leader in the Philippines, with a larger share
of the local market than all other multinational brands combined. In addition, the
company has launched an aggressive international expansion plan in the United States,
Vietnam, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Brunei, solidifying its position as a
growing international Quick - service restaurant player.
Jollibee Foundation is the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of Jollibee
Foods Corporation. Jollibee Foundation believes in harnessing the strengths of its
parent company, Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC), and those of its partners, for
community development. The Foundation builds into the design of its programs the
relevant strengths of JFC as a foodservice company so that program sustainability
would have a fairly good chance.

“Our work in Jollibee Group Foundation is inspired by the same values that have
successfully guided the Jollibee Group since its inception. Speed with excellence and
integrity are the foundations of our endeavors. Customer focus, humility to listen and
learn, and embracing the spirit of family and fun remain at the core of our relationship
with stakeholders, partners, communities, and our nation.”
Enhancing the health and wellbeing of communities engaging with Jollibee Foods
Corporation
Jollibee Foods Corporation works with communities at large and aims to help them
become healthier and happier. Jollibee Foods Corporation provides nutritional boosting
and support to communities where it runs operations, as well as to other communities
living in regions marked below poverty. Additionally, Jollibee Foods Corporation also
produces and distributes health and hygiene products to enhance the wellbeing of its
customers along with the various communities it has engaged with.
FoodAid Program
FoodAID is Jollibee Group’s disaster response program. As quarantine restrictions
eased up in 2021, thereby allowing people to return to their work setting, the spread of
COVID-19 variants required continuous relief operations and support for our medical
and essential frontliners.
Jollibee Group Foundation distributed 2.67 million meals to families affected by the
pandemic, and 7,000 meals to frontliners. Since March 2020, the Foundation has
distributed more than 8.1 million meals.
This was made possible in part through the expansion of our partnership with the
German Investment Corporation, which allowed us to provide ready-to-cook food packs
to a total of 114,405 families, as well as to train and subsidize 90 karinderyas (eateries)
that would serve a total of 98,000 meals to 1,800 urban poor families. The Foundation
developed and conducted a training program on food preparation, food safety and
customer service so that more karinderya owners can learn and share this new
knowledge even beyond the project and the pandemic.
ACE Scholarship Program
Project ACE (Access, Curriculum, Employability) is JGF’s scholarship program for
underprivileged but deserving youths. The program aims to address a critical gap in the
country’s education system – the mismatch between the skills needed by employers
and competencies of the graduates. JGF partnered with technical-vocational training
institutions to equip indigent youth with skills in mechanical work, agro-
entrepreneurship, and restaurant operations.
Farmer Entrepreneurship Program had been established since 2008 where the
foundation helped the local farmers to enhance their skills and understanding in
business during 2021 pandemic days the foundation focused on training the local
farmers to be able to recover from difficult situations brought by the pandemic. This
program has helped 17 farmer groups became suppliers of Jollibee Group in 2009. The
Foundation also established online course on Agro Entrepreneurship with Xavier
University Ateneo De Cagayan which trough this course jfc foundation and its partners
were able to share their farmer entrepreneurship experiences that helped farmers in
building their agro entrepreneurship skills. The jfc and partnered with the department of
agriculture. This way, the 15 regional field offices to bring one organized farmer group
per region to join the online course. To further encourage the youth in taking agriculture
as a career, they made the agro enterprise national certificate course which was
accredited by the technical education and skills development authority. Jollibee Group
Foundation also provided 50 scholarships to the underprivileged youth to participate in
the said course. half of the students in the course were in Don Bosco training center in
Makati City, Davao while the rest is at the Sacred Heart Savings Cooperative
Galimuyod, Ilocos sur.
Many Filipino farmers work hard every day just to produce enough resources for our
country while trying to sell enough just to make money for their families. But many of our
Filipino farmers are being neglected and being ignored which causes loss for some
farmers, one of the worst cases for the side of the farmers is many of the buyers buy
farmers' crops for unreasonable price which is very unfair for them. Good thing that
Jollibee Food Corporation Program Entitled Farmers Entrepreneurship Program helps
many farmers to understand what the business is and be an entrepreneur which will
help them to improve their lives with the assurance that they will make profit from it. By
this program.Good thing that this program is that Jollibee trusted our local farmers to be
their suppliers. It gives the farmers opportunity in many aspects.
The FoodAid program was started in 2013. The Jollibee Foundation created this
program as a disaster response program. This program provides food meals in areas
affected by unfortunate events. The Jollibee Foundation launched this program because
they recognize the importance of access to food in disaster relief. This program also
offers a training program and subsidizes karinderya owners to expand their knowledge
about managing their business effectively. This program is included because the
Jollibee Foundation knows that giving food meals is not enough to reach the goal of this
program. By giving these families the opportunity to open and operate their own
business, it improves their living conditions and increases their ability to provide food for
their families. So this training program is for a long-term result or solution to eliminating
hunger.
Since the establishment of the Jollibee Foundation in 2004, this program has helped a
lot in finding solutions to the problem of hunger. By providing assistance for a lot of
people, it grows more as a foundation that has a great contribution to the country and
helps not just its primary customers but also all Filipinos. It is a way for Jollibee Food
Corporation to give back to the community, and we can see from this program that
Jollibee Food Corporation is genuine in helping people have food on their table every
day. And as Jollibee Food Corporation continues to grow, their foundation and
programs also expand, so more people and communities can benefit from them.
