that shows their understanding on correct usage and appropriate
usage of multimedia resources.
C. Learning Competencies/ At the end of the lesson, students are expected to:

communication. Multimedia is used extensively in education and
other areas like training, reference material, business
presentations, advertising, and documentaries.

2. Types of Multimedia Resources
a) Text Materials – simplest and oldest form of any piece
of written materials which is still primary way to
transmit information.
-can be used in writing instructions, making
announcements, giving information, narrating events,
and many others.

c) Audio – It is a multimedia application that may require
the use of speech, music, and sound effects. These are
sounds that can be added and combined with all other
media types in so many ways.
d) Video- It refers to the moving picture, accompanied by
a sound like a television picture. It gives a lot of
information in a small duration of time. This is useful
in the multimedia application for showing real-life
objects.
e) Animation - it refers to the process of making a static
image look like it is moving. It is just a continuous
series of still images that are displayed in a sequence.
f) Power point slides - Developed by Microsoft and is
usually used for educational purposes.
- Comprised of slides which may contain images,
text, etc.

Directions: Choose the type of multimedia from the pool.
