 Section One: Introduction: Basic Security Guard Knowledge/Historical Perspectives 1 Hour

This section provides participants with a review of the development of the security guard profession as
provided for in R.A. 5487 as amended and its Implementing Rules and Regulations to include but not
limited to General Orders, Code of Conduct, etc..

Objectives:

Upon the completion of this section the participant will be able to comprehend the:

 Historical background of security in the Philippines:

 PADPAO activities leading to enactment of R.A. 5487 otherwise known as the Private Security
Agency Law
 R.A. 5487 its Implementing Rules and Regulations i.e., General Orders, Code of Conduct, etc..

Section Three: Firearms Safety 1 Hour

This section provides participants with further knowledge and to refresh them of the basic concepts in
proper handling of firearms as well as the rules and regulations that govern them’

Objectives:

At the end of the presentation, participants are expected to:

 Know by the heart the cardinal rules of gun safety;

 Apply the proper handling of firearms while on duty and during turnover of duties and
responsibilities;
 Carry and use their Agency issued firearm in accordance with the IRR of P.D. 1866 as amended;
 More constraint and responsible in applying the use of their issued firearm in dealing with any
possible lawless element while on duty.

Section four: Marksmanship Training 4 Hours

This section provides participants with the actual use of their Agency issued firearm to be carried in an
PNP accredited firing range within the locality.

Objectives:

At the end of the presentation, participants are expected to:

 Be disciplined enough to observe and practice the rules of gun safety while in the firing range
and to carry it on in their actual performance of duty;
 Be able to pass and be classified as either expert or marksman.

Section Five: Bomb Threat Response Training 4 Hours

This section provides participants with the proper response in handling bomb threat and provide with
basic knowledge of the components of bomb.

Objectives:

At the end of the presentation, participants are expected to:

 Be able to identify basic components of bomb;

 Be able to apply the proper response or the coordination proper while dealing with a bomb
threat;
 Know the proper response as a first aid responder before, during and after a bomb explotion.

Shall be invited from the Bomb Disposal Squad, SAF, PNP.

Section Six: Basic Investigation Training 1 Hour

This section provides participants with essential skill so necessary in the performance of duties relative
to their ability to communicate by preparing good written as well as the necessary methods and
procedures in the preservation of evidence.

Objectives:

At the end of the presentation, participants are expected to:

 Be able to preserve knowledge and to provide accurate details and to aid other personnel and
other personnel and other agencies in the conduct of investigation;
  Be able to prepare a basic report based on a given situation complete with the five W’s and one
H (who, what, when, where, why and how) applying the standard report format.\

Section Seven: Fire Prevention, Control and Safety 4 Hours

This section provides participants with further knowledge about fire prevention, control and safety, the
corresponding roles of a security personnel as a first responder in the prevention, control of fire and the
safety precautions.

Objectives:

At the end of presentation, participants are expected to:

 Be able to identify the different classes of fire and the combative methods to be applied;
 As the first responder, to apply the correct actions upon the discovery of fire;
 Be able to identify the common fire hazards;
 Be able to apply the different firefighting procedures.

Shall be invited from the Bureau of Fire Protection.

Section Eight: First Aid and Basic Life Support Training 4 Hours

This section provides participants with further knowledge about first aid techniques, rescue and
evaluation.
Objectives:

At the end of the presentation, participants are expected to:

 Comprehend the objectives of first aid, which is to save life, to produce improvement, to
prevent complications, to prepare for medical treatment, and to assist the medical assessor;
 Learn and apply the first steps in first aid, and the golden rules of first aid;
 To have a basic knowledge in the diagnosis, what to do in case of shock, and bandaging and
other methods employed to stop bleeding.

Shall be invited from the National Philippine Red Cross.

Section Nine: Quality Customer Service 1 Hour

This section provides participants with a good public relation in which an individual or entity has an
understanding and goodwill with the people around them.

Objectives:

At the end of the presentation, participants are expected to:

 Know and identify the classification of people they normally deal with;
 Know and practice the basic public expectation from the guard;
 Perform and to look like a professional;
 Know and apply the magic phrases to use to speak like a professional guard.
