    Nursing Considerations:
    1. Review history of seizure disorder (intensity, frequency, duration, LOC). Initiate seizure precautions. Question prior hypersensitivity reaction. Obtain renal function
    test.
    2. Observe for recurrence of seizure activity. Assess for clinical improvement (decrease in intensity/frequency of seizures.

    The patient is at risk of having seizures due to his case which is cerebrovascular accident.

    Nursing Considerations:
    1. Separate administration times of this drug and antibiotics.
    2. Monitor respirations, cough, and character of secretions.

    The patient is given NAC every after feeding to lessen mucus build-up and helps in the tracheostomy care.
