Operation instructions of the HPS11 piston accumulator should remain in effect during the accumulator's whole service
time. By following the instructions on this manual, you ensure that your accumulator maintains good working condition for
many years. Maintenance and service will considerably influence the accumulator life span.
The Piston accumulator is safe and reliable to use, providing that you have taken care of the accumulator service like the
instructions show. By reading these operation instructions exactly, you can avoid personal injury and damage to the device.
HPS11 accumulator's are tested in accordance with the PED (97/23/EC) and we have granted our products a one year (1)
guarantee providing that 6 months pressure inspections and installation have been done like the instructions show.
Because Hydroll OY will develop its products; we reserve the right to make any changes to the accumulator's structure or
shape in any way. These operation instructions take effect at the time of published. Pictures can slightly change depending
on the version of the accumulator.

HPS11 types are suitable for use in heavy and static load situation in large temperature range. Available inside diameters
are 80, 100, 140, 160, 200 and 250. Working pressures are 250, 350 and 415. Capacity can be between 0,4 - 80 litre.
HPS11 is designed and carry out by accordance with the PED (97/23/EC).

3.1 Warnings
WARNING! Use only nitrogen (N2) in pre-charging the accumulator; never use oxygen (can cause an explosion).
WARNING! Do not open the gas valve; if the accumulator is connected with the system.
3.2 General
* Maintain this operation instruction during the whole life of the accumulator. This manual gives instruction of the
accumulator correct use and service.
* The accumulator structure and action can't be changed in any way.
* For your own safety, read exactly this manual before you put the accumulator in use.
* Read manufacturer/ retail dealer duties in page 7 and ensure that you get your accumulator the like instructions
show.
* The user must know the accumulator completely, because the user has the full responsibility for the safely of
themselves and others.
* The user must be old enough and capable to work with the accumulator.
* We recommend that the users are at least 16 years old. Even then older and experienced person must guide a
younger person to work with the accumulator.
* So by avoiding trouble factors, when working with the accumulator, it is recommended that there aren't
unnecessary persons near the accumulator.
* Ensure that the accumulator's maximum working pressure and pre-charge pressure are suitable.
* Ensure, that the right temperature range is in use.
* Use only nitrogen (N2) in pre-charging the accumulator.
* Use only spare parts, witch your manufacturer recommends.

3.4 Pre-charging
* The pre-charge pressure must be measured one month after introduction and there then every 6 months.
* See pre-charging instructions in the accumulator service instructions.

* Ensure that the pre-charge pressure will be check minimum every 6 months and always when necessary.
* Ensure that the hydraulic system oil is clean.

3.6 Cleaning
* The accumulator's cleanliness is necessary when doing the pre-charge pressure inspections. When necessary clean
the accumulator.
3.7 Transport
* The manufacturer takes care of the accumulators transport to the client. The client will pay the costs which are due
to the transporting.
* The transportation of the accumulator is only by land because of the safety reasons.
* Act according to general instructions when taking off the accumulator from the system/ machine/ devices.
* Manufacturer/ retail dealer will be responsible to transport the accumulator to the client.
* Manufacturer makes sure, that your accumulator is in working condition and you get the user manual and service
instructions with the accumulator.
