Product Change Notification – PCN_BUR_00123

Dear Customer,

As part of our ongoing commitment to customer service and quality of product, Eaton is continually looking at ways to
improve its global product lines. In response to direct customers and market feedback, Eaton will implement the
following changes to its Eaton’s Bussmann series high speed fuse links offering.

High speed fuses links cover plates will be upgraded to aluminum alloy from brass (see list of parts page 3 to 5). Not
only will this modification help secure future availability, it also eliminates an environmentally unfriendly plating
process.

The upgraded design has been fully tested and certified against
 IEC60269-1&4 and
 UL0248-1&13.
The tests have proved temperature rise, power dissipation, breaking capacity and operating characteristics as
required by these standards.

Additionally, the lifetime and environmental behavior of the new cover plates was verified by testing against
 DIN EN 60068-2-52, Test method 8, 30 days.
 DIN EN ISO 6988:1997, continuous for 24h.

Please note that this change will not impact certification, the ordering process, or the quality and performance of
Eaton products.

The upgrade will be implemented into production from week commencing 25 th February 2019.

To make the change traceable, we will mark the new design of the product by placing a green label on the product
packaging starting from the implementation date for a minimum of 6 months.
