DESCRIBING A WOMAN

A: Excuse me, are you Ms. Davis?

B: No, I’m not Ms. Davis, but I know who she is.
A: Great! Can you tell me where to find her?
B: I’m not sure where she is in the building now. I do know what she
looks like though.
A: Can you describe her, please?
B: She is a tall woman, with dark brown hair and light brown eyes.
A: Do you know what she is wearing?

A: Thank you so much.
B: You’re welcome. I hope you find her.
A BLIND DATE
A: I have a surprise for you, Bridgette!
B: What is it?
A: I’m sending you on a blind date with my co-worker, Joshua.
You two would make a perfect couple.
B: Thanks. But I don’t even know what he looks like.
A: He is very handsome. He has a very friendly face.
B: What do you mean “friendly face”?
A: He has a bright smile, beautiful blue eyes and smooth skin. He
will make you smile. I know you like tall guys as well and he is
6’3.
B: He sounds very attractive!

A: You know I’m very inspired by Nelson Mandela.
B: Isn’t he the former South African president?
A: Yes, he is. He fought a long time for South Africa’s
independence.
B: He looks like Obama, doesn’t he?
A: Oh, no he doesn’t! Mandela is old. Obama is young.
B: But they are both tall and thin and black and they have
short hair.
A: But Obama’s hair is black. Mandela has white hair.
B: Well, they look similar to me.
A FOOTBALL PLAYER
A: I love football season! My favourite player is Sean
Culver this season.
B: Who is that? He plays for Dallas?
A: Yeah. He is the running back.
B: He is average height and has tanned skin.
A: I still don’t know who he is. What else does he look
like?
B: He is very muscular, has long hair and wears glasses to
press conferences.
A: Oh! I know who he is. I don’t like him. He helped beat
my favourite team, The Patriots.
