About Urban Company
Urban Company (formerly UrbanClap) is Asia's largest home services platform, present
across India, UAE, Australia, and Singapore. We help customers book reliable home
services – beauty treatments, massages, plumbing, carpentry, painting, cleaning, etc. Since
its inception in November 2014, the company has expanded to 22 cities, served over 5
million customers, and onboarded 30,000 trained and skilled service professionals.

Company’s vision
Urban Company’s vision is to empower millions of service professionals across the
world to deliver service experiences at home like never seen before.

Prior to joining Urban Company, most of these professionals, be it plumbers, beauticians,

carpenters etc., would typically earn INR 10-15k per month, working for a local shop,
aggregator or as a freelancer. The Urban Company platform enables these professionals to
become micro-entrepreneurs by helping them in 5 key areas –

This helps service professionals become more organized and multiplies their earnings. E.g. Our
beauticians typically earn INR 40 to 50k per month with no upper ceiling (Many earn > INR 100k
per month), while in the local salons, they would earn between INR 8 to 15k per month
Making a difference!
The best part of working at Urban Company is that we are creating a difference, a BIG one, in
the lives of professionals by skilling them, making them a part of our family and providing a
meaningful employment to change their life for the better.

Currently, while a lot of places are struggling to give employment, UC has been growing
strong, and empowering 30,000 + professionals with credible, respectable full-time
employment. We hope to grow this number to 1 million + in the next 5 years.
