    UX Designer Developer

    upstream is looking for a superstar Designer and Developer who will join our Technology
    and Development team.

    We are looking for a passionate and experienced front-end developer (mid/senior level)
    with experience in building user-friendly web interfaces in React. Starting immediately, this
    is a permanent full-time role for a team member who wants that special career-defining
    role and strives to develop a first-class user experience using the latest technologies and
    applying best practices.

    As a User Experience (UX) Designer, you will also be responsible for User Interface (UI)
    design; socialising and developing concepts into user flows, wireframes, UX testing, mock-
    ups and interactive prototypes. As a UI Designer, you will enjoy working with a wide range
    of stakeholders from our development team, product managers and customers and be
    across the entire design process.

    Joining our rapidly expanding team, you will be a team player that wants to make their
    mark and work collaboratively with business stakeholders and owners.

    About the role:


    · Execute user research and translate these into sketches, workflows and wireframes
    towards low and high-fidelity prototypes - effectively communicating your interaction ideas
    using appropriate methods;
    · Take a user-centred design approach, rapidly testing and iterating designs with both
    internal stakeholders and end-users;
    · Present and defend design decisions - all design decisions should be based on the overall
    design roadmap as well as the individual’s design thinking and fundamental principles;
    · Identify and raise design problems with the wider team while devising elegant solutions
    collaboratively; and
    · Work with other designers on the team to create a design language and associated assets
    to be shared across our product portfolio.
    · Building a responsive platform that looks beautiful and performs well on all devices
    · Implementing and maintaining efficient, scalable, and robust code to ensure the smooth
    operation of the platform
    · Troubleshooting, debugging and implementing long-term fixes to bugs
    · Writing and maintaining test coverage
    · Absorbing changes in scope or design
    Your experience and skills:
    · Solid experience designing interactive UI solutions in software-only environments in
    collaboration with software engineers;
    · Expertise in standard design software such as Figma, InVision, Adobe XD, PhotoShop
    · Experienced at resolving user pain points through great design; and
    · Passionate about all things UI, visual design and prototyping, with a keen desire to share
    knowledge across the wider team about emerging industry trends and technologies.
    · Experience using component UI Design, preferably React
    · HTML/CSS
    · Consuming REST API services
    · Strong written and verbal communication in English
    · Ability to work as a team but also autonomously
    · Excellent attention to design and detail
    · Strong UI/UX focus and experience
    · Previous experience in working within a product or feature development team.
    · Solid understanding of web standards and technologies (HTTP, CORS, browser caching,
    cookies, etc.)
    · Experience working in an agile & fast-paced environment.
    · Experience working with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps or monday.com, etc
    · Excellent knowledge of the mobile industry and the ability to develop our products using
    the latest device capabilities and trends.
