Carl: No way! I just prefer comedies. To me, the whole point of movies is to
make people laugh.
Lauren: Well, what about dramas, do you like those?
Carl: They’re okay, I guess. Are there any good dramas out right now?
Lauren: I know that a French one is showing at the little movie theater downtown.
Carl: A foreign film? So, I’ll have to read subtitles the whole time? … What time is
