Using the programmer

At the start-up of the Touch key program you will need to attach
the Master key, delivered within the package, to the programmer
box, make sure to store the master key in a safe place since you
need this key every time you start this program.
Once the master key is detected you are ready to read, program or
clear touch keys delivered by Telecom, other touch keys will have
no effect except for the message on the state line which indicates
“Touch key is NOT READY FOR USE”.

Read a touchkey
To read a touch key just attaches a key to the programmer box, the
key will automatically be detected and the actual contents are
displayed on the screen.

When the touch key reading has been successful, the state line will
indicate “Touch key reading OK”, furthermore the data will give the
key ID number, the access level, username and fixed choice number.

Since there is a difference in the data handling between the

previous touch key programmer (DOS) and the new programmer version
(Windows) you will get a message whenever a touch key is attached
to the programmer box which has been programmed by the previous
(DOS) programmer.
If you choose to reprogram the touch key this key can not be read
anymore by the previous touch key (DOS) programmer, however the
keys can always be used in the system.

To program a touch key one will have to select the program mode
first; this is done by selecting the radio button Program.
Then you will have to select the user level Normal, Operator or

destination number.

Whenever the data is entered and a touch key is attached to the

programmer box the data will be copied to the touch key, and the
programmer mode will be returned to the reading mode.
