    Instruction: Relate the following exercises to real-life situations, then write your answers on the spaces provided.

    1. Prepare a slogan about drug prevention, then present and explain it to the class.

    Explanation:
    It is important to tame teenagers not to use illegal drugs to prevent drug addiction. Based on research, teenagers
    are much prone to intake this illegal substance since they curious enough to try things purposively which are not good. In
    order to avoid this, it is good to regulate a program that advocates illegal drug restrictions at all costs in which various
    topics will be discussed. One of which is the reasons not to use illegal drugs.

    2. Write a short essay on how your school and barangay can help in preventing drug addiction.

    “PREVENTING DRUG ADDICTION”


    Nowadays, drug addiction is rampant throughout the world. Because of the widespread use of illegal substances
    in society, it became one of the major issues. The prevalence of instances in every neighborhood is very high, even in the
    Philippines. This is the reason why young people, especially teenagers, are more likely to take drugs and become addicted
    to them. As what we all know, drugs can alter how the brain functions and interfere with a person’s capacity for making
    choices, leading to intense cravings and compulsive drug use.
    In order to prevent the unprecedented cases of being addicted to illegal drugs, the school and barangay can help in
    alleviating possible intake of this substance by implementing prevention programs that are designed to enhance protective
    factors and reduce the risk factors. As what we have known, the likelihood of drug usage is increased by risk factors.
    These are the various risk factors that contributes to the usage of illegal drugs that will be thought by authorized personnel
    residing either in school or barangay. This program will highlight how illegal drugs could alter the way we live and on
    how it will negatively affect anyone’s well-being. That is why it is necessary to join and participate in this program in
    order to avoid the usage of these destructible substances.
    It is essential to be aware of the risks associated with illegal drug usage in order to make an educated decision
    about whether to use them or not. Also, it is a must to understand the warning signs of drug use and addiction to get
    assistance if needed.
