INTRODUCTION
A broiler is any chicken that is bred and raised specifically for meat production. Most
commercial broilers reach slaughter weight between four and seven weeks of age, although
slower growing breeds reach slaughter weight at approximately 14 weeks of age (Dozier, 2004).
Many private companies are involved with farmers in contract farming for broiler production.
Singh (2010), stated that the advantages of broiler farming may include: Initial investment is
lower than layer farming, broilers have high feed conversion efficiency i.e. the amount of feed
required for unit body weight gain is lower in comparison to other livestock, etc.
According to Bentoli (2016), molasses is an excellent supplement for your chicken feed. It
contains high levels of calcium, iron, potassium, and magnesium. It's also a fantastic energy
source, which is why it's used as a binder for many livestock types.
Molasses and Stress-Mix treatments were given to the chickens on different intervals. For
example, the Molasses was given on a two (2) days interval whereas the Stress-Mix was given
on a five (5) days interval.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
Most farmers who are rearing broilers are not supplementing the birds diet, and are only feeding
starter and grower ration. Hence, there is need to give the broilers supplements since they need
both macro and micro nutrients to grow healthy and develop well.

ACTIVITIES
- Every day, the chicks were fed and the waterers were thoroughly washed and refilled.
- Treatments were given on various intervals in order for the chickens to be healthy.
- For Batch 1, the Molasses treatment was given at a two (2) days interval whereas for
Batch 2, the Stress-Mix treatment was given at a five (5) days interval.
- Each day, if necessary, the shaving would be turned and new ones would be added in
order for the chickens to not become immune to any viruses or bacteria.
- The pen was properly cleaned in order to sustain the health of the chicks.

DISCUSSION
This analysis will take care of the issue proclamation such that ranchers should enhance their
birds for better development. The test comprises of giving the chicks the molasses and stress
blend medicines, to recognize which supplement would end up being more beneficial and which
bunch would have a higher death rate.
Regarding weight gain, Batch #1 had an absolute weight gain of 220 lbs. though Batch #2 had a
complete weight gain of 204 lbs. It could additionally be reasoned that Batch #1 had the most
birds with the most elevated weight gains. This was so in light of the fact that the birds were
enhanced with the molasses treatment and they developed a lot greater and a lot quicker than
being given the pressure blend treatment. Bunch #1 likewise had countless birds than Batch #2.
For the pay got, Batch #1 was the most beneficial, since it had a bigger number of birds than
those in Batch #2 and that they were additionally very much enhanced. Given the marketing
projections, Batch #1 had a complete offer of $39,600 though Batch #2 had an absolute offer of
$37,190. Once more, Batch #1 still had a higher pay than Batch #2.
As it comes to mortalities, Batch #2 was recorded with the most mortalities. Cluster #1 had an
all-out death pace of two (2) while Batch #2 had a complete death pace of five (5). This was so
in light of the fact that the chicks acquired supplements because of the molasses supplement than
the pressure blend, so more mortalities were recorded in the other bunch.

CONCLUSION
It very well may be inferred that raising the chickens utilizing the molasses treatment was more
beneficial than the Stress-Mix supplement. It could likewise be presumed that the death rate was
more noteworthy in Batch 2, which is the Stress-Mix treatment, bringing about five (5)
mortalities while there was a low death rate among the chickens in Batch 1, with an aggregate of
just two (2) mortalities.

Comparison of Projected and Actual Income: The Projected Income ($95,040) is greater than
the Actual Income ($76,320) by a difference of $18,720. This is as a result of two main factors.
These factors may include: A large quantity of birds and a much greater selling price were
projected in the complete budget when compared to the number of birds and the selling price of
the actual income statement.

Actual profit = Actual expenditure – Actual income
Comparison of Projected and Actual Profit: The Projected Profit of ($20,640) is greater than
the Actual Profit of ($20,080) by a difference of $560. This occurred mainly due to the fact that,
the total projected income was considerably higher than the actual income. Furthermore, even
though the total projected expenditure was greater than the actual expenditure, the projected
surplus when calculated achieved a higher figure.
