THE BIGGEST ERROR OF MY LIFE

Thinking that something so magical

can make you lose what you love most
makes your life really different.

-Hi, my name is Charlie. I was born in

2003, on a small town located at the
outsides of Washington called
Leavenworth. I grew up in a humble and
happy environment, without prejudice
or bad surroundings, where I spent my
childhood and part of my adolescence.
And yes, I say ''part'' since from the age
of 14 I began to see things with different
eyes and the questions began. From then
on my life was in decline, my parents
divorced because of me, my
grandparents' small businesses went
bankrupt and, of course, I can't forget
the moment when I tried to fix my
family and get ahead.

It all started in the winter of 2017

when unfortunately I had the
strongest argument I had ever had
with my parents. As a consequence,
despite my most sincere repentance,
my father began to show all his anger
with the house, he began to break
everything, he destroyed the shutter
that gave way to an icy current that
could not be tolerated with the light
clothing. It was then that I made the
worst mistake of my life leaving my
home and looking for life.
Since then I never heard from my
parents again. In my trajectory as a
homeless person, a huge lightning
bolt gave rise to the beginning of a
torrential rain, causing flooding in
the streets and landslides giving rise
to rubbles.
As I walked, I began to see a huge
mansion located on the edge of a
cliff, I had no choice but to go. Upon
my arrival, my legs began to shake
and my nose to runny. It was at that
moment when everything became
dark and by surprise, the door
opened generating a flash that
glimpsed reality to the point of
thinking that he was in a paradise.

Without hesitation, I entered. For a

few moments, everything looked as if
it were an animated movie, until the
door closed and the room began to
light up, leaving brief spotlights that
focused on a kind of music box that
seemed never to have been opened.

As I positioned myself, I decided to

address her. Just then the room
began to shake as if there was an
earthquake. I clung to the box and
closed my eyes hoping that
everything would pass and he would
stay in a scare. Suddenly, everything
stopped; I proceeded to return the
box and try to get out slowly when a
soft melody began to play. It was the
box!

THE FIRSTS MANIFESTATIONS
After that interruption a small
symbol was carved into the outline of
the box. I deduced that it was some
Asian invention from the decoration
on the box. I tried to search around if
there was something to decipher that
symbol, but at that moment a
telephone began to ring from the
upper floor. After a few seconds of
reasoning, I decided to go up to
answer. As I walked up the stairs,
different words began to appear that
said "Don't wish". My mind was
paralyzed but the sound of the phone
began to increase in volume and
frequency, so I decided to run.
I finally managed to get there. But the
phone stopped ringing, which
surprised me a lot. On the verge of
leaving, the sound reappeared and
without hesitation I picked up the
phone. A somewhat mystical voice
said: ''A wish equals a sacrifice of the
wisher''. Back then, I ran and
unplugged the phone and threw it out
the window. Fear stalked me, so
without hesitation I returned home
with the box.
