more about herself, her design process,

‘m Ashley and live in New York, U.S.A started my own little lingerie brand selling

turning our kitchen table into the ultimate
order-packaging station.

Can you tell us a little bit


about how knitbrooks started
and how it has changed over
the years?
|started knitbrooks when was working as a

reporter/photographer at a small community


newspaper in Alberta. Crocheting and knitting
were crafts turned to when felt the stresses
|

of my day job creep into my home life, but a


girl only needs so many hats and scarves for
herself. So, in 2013, opened an Etsy shop to

sell my finished accessories... and knitbrooks


was bom! It took me a long time to figure

out what worked for me and what didn't. |

NEW HOOK
went from Etsy shop to handmade markets,
to wholesale and consignment. Eventually |

started writing and selling the patterns for the


knitwear was making, and even dabbled in

DIY kits and curated boxes. Finally, in 2017,


|made my very first crochet hook. It has
been a whirlwind of sawdust (aka hook baby
glitter) ever since! Even my crochet hooks
themselves have seen a transition over the
last couple of years. started off strictly using
