PREFACE
Concrete floor & Roof method of work is intended to provide information, especially as a reference and
guidance of concrete floor best.
In addition, this method presented work procedure and regulation standard as a tools for engineer to explain
to supervisors, formen and workers on site to help them understand the proper way and to produce
best quality of work.
Roof with a light steel framework attached as a support, the light steel trusses are neatly arranged.
Then on top of the light steel frame, attach the steel wire to the rockwool in the aluminum foil cover
as heat resistance from the sun.
This is just the basic method based on MJI standard. Each project shall add all the required information in
order to complete as a Method of Statement for your project.

3-A CONCRETE CONTROL
3-A.1 Concrete Mix
* Concrete Slump 120 ± 200mm
* Water concrete < 180 Kg/m³
* Water cement ratio < 65%
3-A.2 Crak Control Joint

Purpose concrete parapet, external concrete floor, concrete down floor and up floor
* Crack control joint should be formed at both sides of opening (column side is to avoided)
* Cross section deficit rate to be more than 20% of total floor thickness, minimum more than 15%
(for condominium to be more than 20%)
* Interval :
a. General (Parapet, down floor and concrete floor) : within 3 mm
b. Up floor on the ground beam : approx. 1 mm
3-A.3 Construction Joint

* Location of construction joint should be confirmed with shop drawing
* Treatment of concrete joint : Cleaning laitance or debris by wirebrush or others are to be done
* To be conside concrete kicker at horizontal joint between floor and wall
3-A.4 Concrete Casting

* Concrete delivery within 120 minutes (ambient temperature < 25°C) and within 90 minutes
(ambient temperture < 25°)
* Adequate height to cast concrete until the top without stop page, use casting method of preventing
segregation of mortar paste and coarse aggregate, standard height of free fall ≤ 1,5 m.
* Keep wet condition, cure more than 5 days after casting, or confirm the strength ≥# 10N/mm²
(in case thickness≥ 180mm)
