NEWSLETTER
WSO Memberships & Certifications are accredited by ICAC Oct/Nov 2022

Due to the low numbers in registration, the symposium

scheduled for 2022 was cancelled.
WSO enjoys bringing its members together through the annual
symposiums. We strive to provide various topics, including those in the
news, on the rise, and already established. In the last few years, the
pandemic, its aftermath, and the economy have caused us to delay our
annual conference. Presently, we are looking into relocating the
conference for 2023. We feel a change of scenery will enhance a renewed
sense of togetherness and participation. In that same spirit, we ask of you
to join us in celebrating getting back together. We will require assistance
from around the globe in various forms, such as speakers, award
nominations, and early registration.
We are looking forward to making 2023 a highly successful year for WSO
as well as the symposium and will update as information becomes
available.

from the desk of
DR. CHARLES H. BAKER
Chief Operations Officer

Hello Everyone!! Welcome to the October/November newsletter.

We have had a few changes in personnel at the Warrensburg office and
Stephanie has been replaced by Fallon. As a result, we are a little behind but
catching up. In the meantime, if you have questions or need assistance do not
hesitate to call either Fallon or Wanda at the office.

We are now into the Holiday Season when safety is even more important. It is a time of year that
comes with inclement weather, travel, and all sorts of festivities. We need to remind ourselves to be
more observant and exercise more care. Please be careful.

As an after-effect of the Covid Virus the World Safety Organization was forced to cancel its annual
symposium. There were many negative factors which made this a necessary move. Travel and the
ability to mingle with other people were among the reasons.

World Safety is already planning for the 2023 symposium and has vowed to make this the best
symposium the organization has ever had. Plans are to move to a different venue, other than Las
Vegas. Several people thought that a new location would be more exciting since we had been in
Las Vegas for several years. Stay tuned for further developments. I'm sure it will be exciting.

As we plan for the 2023 symposium, everyone should encourage their work associates and
colleagues to either join World Safety Organization, become certified, or both. I think they would
find their trip to the Annual Symposium a valuable and time-rewarding experience. Let's all come
together and make this a well-attended Symposium.

As we enter the Holiday Season, let us all pay particular attention to safety and have a safe and
happy holiday.

In the meantime, please let us know if we can be of assistance.

Thank you for being a member.

Charles Baker

The safety team in Egbin Power plant is doing some great
job with the support of their Management Team to build
a generative Safety Culture and the WSO is poised to
support in any way possible.
There is hope that this relationship will be sustained and
more engagements involving the WSO Team will be a
norm.
Some members of the Management Team have already
registered for the WSO National Conference taking place
in Benin, Edo State, Nigeria from September 27-28, Debriefing after the hazard hunt
