placed as close as possible to pump-motor set to enable immediate de-

energization in case of an emergency?(On/Off switch should be out side
the barrication)
Double body earthing is available in the motor? Earth resistance of it

has been tested or not? Mention the value
Earth resistance of the earthing pit/ spike rod connected with the DB

checked or not? Mention the value
Have you checked the continuity from pump-motor set to earth pit/

spike rod?
Have you checked the electrical cable used in pump-motor set? Is there
10 any joints in the cable?
Is it routed overhead?
Is the discharge pipe laid upto the nearest drain to ensure water
11 pumped out is not getting back into the pit from where it was
dewatered?
Are all pump-motor electrical connections done by authorized

electrician under supervision of P&M person?
13 RA for dewatering activities done or not?
All workers are briefed about the risks associated with the dewatering
14 activity?
15 Pump-motor set and dewatering area is barricaded or not?
Is there any Emergency lifesaving equipment available, I.e .life
16 jacket/life boy etc.
17 Is there sutibale fire extinguisher is available ?
18 Provided proper hard barrication around the pump-motor.
19 Is there proper access and aggress is available?
