INTRODUCTION

Mobile devices these days have gradually become more powerful and
distributive, influencing our daily lives on a larger scale. Android, which has
proven to be one among the best mobile-based application development
platforms, provides the developers with many APIs and tools for the
development of Android applications.

We intend to develop one as such for the Training & Placement cell of our
college and make it accessible to all the students. It includes notifications and
regular updates about the cell along with the list of students selected for
companies, events and activities, training schedules, placement information,
company information, moodle tests and mock tests etc., which would provide
ease to both the management and the students as well.

The 'Training and Placement' is developed to maintain the details of student


information, trace the details of student also maintain the information about the
company availability. Using this project user may know all the details which are
provided by the ‘Training and Placement’. Users can view the availability of
company and dates of passing.

In the same way in this project one more user is involved he is most important
person who is able to controlling all the information and also makes the
necessary changes when they raised is called ‘Administrator’. He can do the
updates and set the job information regarding the company and change the
users name and passwords such type of all these things are made by the
administrator level.
OBJECTIVE

The current working system in most of the colleges including Terna college of
engineering(TPCT) for training and placement is fully manual process and due to
this process, management has to face problems like delay in collecting student
details and informing them about the companies and many more. To overcome
this problems we have aimed to develop an automatic training and placement
application for TPCT that will help management unit to work better in this field
and so that every student could get benefit of placement. For accessing this
system the students have to install the android application with proper login
credentials. Not only the students but also the training and placement officers
(TPO) can access this system and manage student details and placement related
activities.

Automatic Training and placement is developed to maintain the details of student


information, trace the details of student also maintain the information about the
company availability. Using the project user may know all the details which are
provided by the ‘Automatic Training and Placement Application’. Users can
view the availability of company and dates of passing. In the same way in this
project one more user is involved in, he is most important person who is able to
controlling all the information and also makes the necessary changes when
they raised is called Admin. He can do the updates and set the job,
information regarding the company and change the username and password such
type of all these things are made by the admin level.
FEASIBILITY STUDY

The proposed Android application will reduce paper work and storage area. It
will make work of TPO and students easy to update data and alter data if
required.

This application will also notify students time to time about the companies and
other placement related news.

Also students can practice moodle tests and mock tests on hand. It will also sort
list of eligible students according to criteria of companies.

 We will create the reports of placed student and Non-placed students.

METHODOLOGY
➢ Work in the application will be done in the following way:
▪ The categories of CV’s are decided and uploaded and define it
formally.
▪ A server is used for storing the CV’s.
▪ The front page of the system is created giving a brief description
about the system and the login box.
▪ Other Sub system like automatic notification, screens for various
events are created. Like some companies visiting the campus for
placement.
▪ Statistics of previous year’s placements. Current placement
scenario.

▪ A role of approval is also introduced. When the student uploads his


or her cv, the approver should approve the document & only then it
can be uploaded.
