Kindergarten Reopening Circular 2022-23

Dear Parents,
Greetings from The Indian Public School!
A very warm welcome to all our students and parents!

We hope everyone had an excellent summer break and are ready to start the new school year. The start of a new
academic school year is always an exciting time for all of us. We are looking forward to a wonderful year ahead.
Please spend some time to read the following circular which has some important information for you:

1. TIMINGS:
a. School Timing: 8.45 am – 3.00 pm
b. Breakfast Timing: 8.45am – 9.15am, Snack Break-10:35am-10.50am
c. Lunch Timing: 12pm – 12.40pm
d. Cab Departure Timing: 3.05pm
e. Parent pick up: 3.15 pm onwards

Toddler timing : 9.30am to 12noon

2. SCHOOL/ HOME TRANSPORT PROCEDURE:


School Transport Procedure:
a. Students availing school transport in the morning should be present at the designated pick up spot atleast
5 minutes before the allotted pickup time. If the student is not present at the pickup spot the bus will not
wait and parents have to make their own arrangements for dropping. Parents are requested to be prepared
for possible delays during the initial days for the pickup which will be regularized.

b. At school the students will disembark in the bus bay and will be guided to their respective class rooms,
thereafter to the dining for breakfast. After breakfast homeroom teachers will take the students to the
respective classroom.

c. School buses will depart from school at 3.05 pm. New students will be allocated buddies to help them
around the campus and to board the correct bus. Please ensure that the authorized person to pick up the
child is present at the drop point, on time. In case of non- availability of the person, the child will be
brought back to school for safety reasons.
Own Transport Procedure:
a. Students who have availed own transport have to be dropped at school by 8.40am or latest by 8.45am.If
the student comes later than 8.45 they will have no time for breakfast. Parents are requested not to drop them
at the school gate and leave. Habitual late coming is not encouraged and students will not be allowed to
attend classes.

b. A school car pass will be issued to the parents, which has to be displayed without fail on the front glass of
the vehicle for calling out the child’s name.

c. In the evening during the dispersal the own transport students will assemble in the classroom. At 3.15pm,
parents/drivers have to pick their ward from the main gate. Cars that arrive before the pickup timing should
be parked away from the school zone.This is to ensure that there is traffic jam at the school gates.
3. ADMISSIONS:
Existing Students:Children are allocated sections (LKG/UKG) as per their language preference and to balance
the strength in each section. We request you to kindly support and co-operate with us to make this transition
smooth and not insist on any change of sections. We will support our students in all possible ways.

New Admissions: Students who have taken admission this academic year 2022-23, will be issued a temporary ID
card so as to help us to identify them as new students.The new students after disembarking at the bus bay will be
guided to their respectiveclass rooms, thereafter to the dining for breakfast.

4. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

a. ID CARDS/UNIFORM: It is mandatory for all students to come in full school uniform with their ID card
every day. Blazers for the children are optional, except during Field Trips, PTM, SLC and other important events.
School has a uniform code and grooming policy that is detailed in the school diary. All students have to strictly
adhere to the instructions therein.
b. BREAKFAST/LUNCH: Breakfast and Lunch is optional. You can either avail the facilities offered by the
school or students may carry packed food from home. Parents will not be allowed to bring lunch during school
hours. Breakfast/Lunch choices must be informed at the beginning of each term and not in between. Students
who have opted for home Breakfast/lunch will not be permitted to avail school lunch under any circumstances.
c. BELONGINGS:Things to be brought every day to school:Water bottle, School diary, Hand kerchief, ID and
books
 Students are not allowed to bring any stationary items to school. School will provide all stationary items.
 Kindly send 2 passport size photo of your child.
 A labeled water bottle of about 250ml capacity to be sent. Children can refill from the school water
dispenser. This is to ensure that the process is hygienic.

 A spare color dress should be sent which will be kept in school, for emergency purpose. Once the child
uses the spare dress, kindly replace it the very next day.If a spare dress is not available the child will have
to use a new school uniform which will be charged.

 Please label all your child's belongings including shoes, socks, blazer, spare dress, water bottle and
books. This will help us to retrieve it in case it is misplaced. The school is not responsible for the loss of
any items that are not labeled.

 Home lunch students should carry a spoon and napkin along with their lunch box. Please send food that
the child prefers to eat and also send only the required quantity.

 They are allowed to bring light snacks (fruit and nuts) and will be given time to have snacks. No junk
food is allowed. Breakfast/Lunch/snack time will be monitored by the homeroom teachers.

 School Diary will be issued after the school reopens.Fill in the personal details in the school diary in the
space provided.

 Read the school diary thoroughly for information about this year's events, rules and procedures.

 School will dispense medication for students only with written instructions through diary. No oral
instructions regarding this through drivers or helpers will be taken into account.
 Proper procedures are followed for the care of student’s health. We ensure access to professional services
for the medical treatment of student. In case of accidents during school activities, the student will be
transported to the nearby medical center (Senthil emergency care,Karur) in an ambulance, accompanied
by responsible TIPS personnel. Depending on the discretion of the parent the child will be brought back
to the school after the treatment or handed over to the parent at the hospital.

 Parents and Grandparents of TIPS who have a passion for reading are invited for a Reading session at
TIPS which is scheduled on all Mondays. Please confirm your date and time of participation a week in
advance. You can bring your own reading books or come well ahead and choose books from our library.
The reading can be in Tamil, Hindi or English.

 Children may wear color dress on their birthday and chocolates or candy bars are permitted to be
distributed in the class. No form of gifts for children or staff or cake cutting in school will be
entertained. We request your cooperation and support in this regard.

 Parents are encouraged not to take away their children for birthday parties or other family functions during
school hours.
 Parents can meet the class teachers only during PTM or with prior appointments. The PYP Coordinator
will be available on all working days. Kindly confirm your appointments with the front desk through
mails, calls or in person to meet the Coordinators.
 Parents of newly admitted students are requested to give time for the child and teacher to familiarize them
and settle to the school routine. After 2 weeks parents of new students will be given time slots after 3.00
pm, to meet the class teachers. The time slots will be sent through your child.
 Parents are requested to communicate to school through diary, email / Parental Portal. Instructions
through drivers and helpers will not to be considered.
 Children should not wear gold ornaments to school. The school will not take responsibility for loss of any
jewels.
 Parent portal: Kindly login in to the Parent portal to view the child's details in the portal. Any changes to
be made can be mailed at [email protected]
 Parent Portal Credential:

User id : P + Student id (for example if IB-04-089 is the student id, then the user id will be PIB-04-089)
Password : date of birth of the student in ddmmyyyy format ( if DOB is 12- Nov- 1999, password is
12111999)

 Saving trees and protecting environment is a cause of concern for all of us and an aim of the TIPS group
of educational institutions. Towards this goal it has been decided that TIPS will go paperless in all its
communication with the parents. All communication / circulars from the school will be only through
emails that are registered with the school. Hard copy of the circular will be sent home through school
diary for only circulars which needs parent's acknowledgment.
 If you do not receive any communication through your email, kindly update your email-ids with the
school without any delay. Also please check the spam box of your email and check if the communication
received from TIPS is being directed to the spam box and redirect it to your inbox.
