channel. How do you create a YouTube channel?

1. Sign in to YouTube.

corner of the page then log in using the Google account that you’d
like your channel to be associated with.
If you don’t already have a Google account. You’ll need to create
one before you get started with YouTube. Click “create account”
and follow the steps to create your Google account.

the option to create a personal channel using your name and picture on

The Social Function of Procedure Text:
To explain/tell (the reader) how to make/operate/do
something through a sequence of actions or steps.
To explain steps/instruction to make/operate/do something
Generic structure of Procedure Text:
Goal (e.g : How to create YouTube Channel)
Materials (e.g :laptop/ computer/ smartphone and WI-Fi
Connection)
Steps/ Methods (e.g : first, sign in to YouTube, …., second open
YouTube setting . . )
Language Feature of Procedure Text:
Use adverbial of sequence / Using temporal conjunction (e.g: first, second, third,
the last)
Use command / imperative sentence (e.g : Sign in to YouTube. . ., click sign in the
top right hand corner of the page. . ., open your YouTube setting. . . )
Using adverbials (Adverbs) to express detail the time, place, manner accurate,
for example, for five minutes, 2 hours, etc.
Using action verbs, e.g : open, click, sign in, create

Now read the following text. Discuss with your friends in a group and
then identify the social function, the generic structure and the
language features of the text.
How to Wash Your Hands Properly
Washing your hand regularly can protect you from dangerous
bacteria, germs, dirt, and even virus that might harm your
health. Follow these simple steps to clean your hands properly.
Tools / Things you need:
1. Clean water
2. Soap
3. Tissue / Clean towel
STEPS:
1. Go to the bathroom or to the closest sink where you can find clean
and running water.
2. Turn on the tap and wet your hands with the running water (you
can use warm or cold water).
3 Turn off the tap and then apply soap on both of your palms. After
that, lather your palms by rubbing them together with the soap.
4. Spread the lather to the space between your fingers, under your nails
and also to the backs of your hands.
5. Keep on scrubbing for at least 20 seconds.
6. Turn on the tap once more and rinse your hands with the clean water
(make sure no more lather remains on your hand).
7. Dry your hands using some tissue or clean towel.
8. Your hand is now clean and free of germs.
