FLOORING

MEANS TO ESCAPE:
•Providing external staircase with 1.25 meters width either
constructed with RCC/fire protected M.S
•If the above case is impossible then provide horizontal
emergency exit through adjacent buildings via suitable bridges
preferable at terrace level.
•Emergency lighting with battery backup of min 4hrs in
corridors/common passages and staircases shall be provided to
facilitate means of escae.
•Generator for alternate source of electric supply.
•Ventilation shall be provided at every landing of external
staircase in all floors.
AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
•Corridors and staircases shall be kept free from obstructions
like goods etc.
•Fire doors with two hours fire resistance shall be provided
particularly at entrance to lift lobby.
•A swing door shall be provided in all grill type and collapsible
door type lifts to avoid smoke getting into lift.
