1. What is your personal point of view on gender equality? (5 points)

-“Gender equality is a human right, but our world faces a persistent gap in access to
opportunities and decision-making power for women and men.” The term "gender equality"
entails understanding equal opportunities, rights, and responsibilities for girls, boys, and both
sexes. It also refers to the recognition of the variety among the various groups of women and
men and their needs, wants, and interests.

Despite the fact the world's progress toward the Millennium Development Goals for gender
equality and women's empowerment (including offering boys and girls the opportunity to
education), women and girls continue to battle discrimination and violence everywhere. As per
research, gender equality has a strong affiliation to peace than a nation's GDP or degree of
democracy. The risk of utilizing military action is lower in countries with higher gender equality.
Peace is promoted when a nation addresses key instances of gender inequality, such as in the
workplace and on the campus.

2. How can you contribute in stopping discrimination? (5 points)

Women often receive lower social status and have significant restrictions on their
independence. Ladies do indeed earn less than males and are treated with less respect,
especially in more developed countries with laws prohibiting orientation segregation. A lofty
goal with many obstacles is reducing orientation separation. The real way to reduce orientation
segregation is through education and fundamentally changing how people think about
orientation employment, even though unofficial rules undoubtedly aid what is occurring.
Lessen the sexism that occurs in the classroom. Many teachers subconsciously prefer male
students. This might take the form of disrupting female students when they are speaking or
asking boys more queries. To the extent that media is concerned, promote media wariness.
Media portrayals of both sexes frequently portray them negatively: Men are portrayed as
emotionless beasts with no control over their urges to sex, while women are portrayed as
foolish, weak, and always ready for sex. As these images circulate, they become so deeply
ingrained in society's collective unconscious that some people accuse a victim of sexual assault
of having earned the assault. People can learn to understand that the media isn't
representative of reality by receiving instruction on how to interpret it.
