group to finish will have a prize. I will give you 2
minutes and 30 seconds to proofread and edit the
writing. Identify the mistakes and correct it by using
the proofreading and editing symbols.

form. Music has even been used by therapits to help
patience with mental and phisical health issues and
and acheived good results
Music is an art form that appears in every

human experience. Music has been used
as entertainment, as a way to pass on
stories, and as a form of artistic
expression. Each person may have his
own preference in the type of music he
likes, but most people will like music in
some form. Therapists have even used
music to help patients with mental and
physical health issues and have achieved
good results.

I have learned that there are symbols used
to proofread a text. Yes, proofreading is
important because we need to check our
final draft before we pass it or publish it to
ensure that there are no mistakes.
H. Assignment
For your assignment, I want you to look for any of
your old essays in English, use your own essay to
proofread. Use the symbols we have discussed. You
can also use the Internet to search for other symbols
which will be useful in revising your essay.
