    TIME ACTIVITIES

    7:00 AM – 7:30 AM • Arrival and assembly at LSU Dorm

    7:30 AM – 7:45 AM • Morning Circle, prayer and pre-conference


    - Checking of attendance and paraphernalia
    - Submission of requirements

    7:45 AM – 8:00 AM • Departure to MHARS-MC

    8:00 AM – 8:30 AM • Delivery room orientation

    8:30 AM – 12:00 NN • Performing Nursing Duties


    - Performing assessment on the mother
    - Monitoring and taking vital signs of the laboring mother, accurately.
    - Giving of the instruments needed to the handle nurse
    - Maintaining aseptic technique at all times
    - Recording newborn data, accurately
    - Performing after care

    12:00 NN – 12:30 PM LUNCH BREAK

    12:30 NN – 2:30 PM • Performing Nursing Duties


    - Handle in delivering the baby and placenta
    - Inspecting the placenta and its completeness
    - Expelling out the time of delivery
    - Promoting skin-to-skin contact with the mother and newborn
    - Assisting the doctor/midwife in suturing perineal lacerations
    - Performing after care

    • Complying of requirements
    2:30 PM – 3:00 PM - PRC & log book
    3:00 PM – 3:30 PM
    • Post-conference
