Module 5

1. Of all the eight personalities, I belong to the indigo color. I'm an introverted person; in my circle
of friends, I am the listener, and I tend to balance the environment by stopping my friends from
debating over small things. I tend to be an outcast sometimes when I'm around other people for
the reason that they don't know or remember my name.
2. Among the 8 characteristics of Steven Covey, I am the one who is continually learning. I've
experienced lots of things in my life, and that's why I can say that I continually expand my
competence and ability to do things. Experience is the best teacher, and so I think that I grow a
little bit as an individual.

3. The difficulties we face in life are all normal; they tend to make us stronger, and they prepare us
for our desired goals. I belong in the fortitude category. I think that with my age, I've experienced
a lot of things already, and I am blessed because I've overcome all the challenges. I believe that,
in order to reach my dreams, I expected to face challenges and difficulties on my way to my
destination
4. A transformation leadership aims to transform people and organizations by changing their minds
and hearts. It will also enlarge vision, sight, and understanding, which will lead to permanent self-
preservation. Transformational leadership basically means that we change the realities of our
particular world to more clearly conform to our values and ideals. It focuses on the "top line" and
is principle-centered.

Module 6

Guide Question: On a sheet of intermediate pad paper, in 3–5 sentences each at 5 points each, how could
you develop?

1. Physically

I could develop physically by participating in different activities that needed strength. Using your
physical strength to help your nation can be a good motivation because it shows patriotism. Also, I can
improve physically by doing exercises even three times a day during my free time.

2. Politically

I could develop politically by building strong relationships with other because I reckon other influence
people or smart people can influence me to think differently but in a fair manner way. To be a decision
maker can also make me improve. Furthermore, to grow is to understand how a certain organizations
works out for it will help us to rethink our ideas on what is better to apply.
3. Economically

To improve economically, I will be going to be a resourceful person, recycling things that can be recycled
without even spending a money. These days we really need to think smartly since all products are now
expensive. To be economically smart start to little things and make money with it for an instance selling
products you’ve made though recycled products.

4. Socially

Every individual can develop socially by trying to have a conversation with people. For instance, in
school, we do a lot of group activities, and in order for us to participate, we need to open our mouths and
release the idea in our minds. I can improve my social interaction by talking to more people than I usually
do.

5. Spiritually

I can improve spiritually by just continue listening and reading the words of God. Having faith with God
is a life without worrying the future. Talking to people who have a pure heart will also do because with
them I can learn things that I may be use in the future.

6. Emotionally

I can develop more by always reminding myself that I am valid. I won’t let anyone affect my life just
because I didn’t reach their expectations. I will also make time for myself and acknowledge all of my
efforts, for no one tells me that I do so.

Module 7

1. On Earning: Never depend on a single income. Make an investment to create a second source.

We need more than one income because we want to improve the quality of life and feel secure, not just
for ourselves but for our children. Adding an extra income source can go a long way toward paying for
higher everyday costs. You’ll have extra money to spend on necessities and to put towards your savings
and investments. Financial independence can mean getting rid of debt, having enough to retire, and more.

2. On Spending: If you buy things you do not need, soon you will have to sell things you do need.

What we want is actually not what we need. We buy things just to satisfy ourselves without even thinking
that we might need the money for emergency occasions and because of that we cannot sell what we
bought because no one will be interested to the product. Therefore, we will be going to sell things such as
our appliances.

2. On Saving: Do not save what is left after spending; spend what is left after saving.

We need to save money because life is unpredictable and we don't know what the future holds. So instead
of just wasting it on not important things, we must save first before we go shopping, etc. Because in this
way we can be sure that we have money that we will use in case of an emergency.
Module 8

Diiscuss briefly the following at 10 points each.

1. Who is an entrepreneur

They are the individuals who not only see but also pursue opportunities that elude administrative
managers. They do not allow their initial resource endowments to limit their options. And they mobilize
the resources of others to achieve their entrepreneurial objectives.

2. What are five Filipino values favorable to entrepreneurs, and how do you choose them?

Pakikipagkapwa (human relations), Utang na loob (debt of gratitude), Lakas ng loob (risk taking),
Pakikipagsapalaran (adventure), and Pagkamatiisin (endurance) I chose these five values because I
thought that as an entrepreneur, you must have a good relationship with other people for them to
patronize your products. All entrepreneurs started with just a small amount of money, and I can reckon
that there is somebody behind every successful businessman or businesswoman. All of them are
adventurous and ready to take risks because, in the business world, once you get bankrupt, I reckon that
you will probably lose everything you have.

3. Choose 5 Filipino values and practices that deter entrepreneurship, and why?

Gaya-gaya (imitation), Kanya-kanya (selfish motives), Crab mentality (putting each other down),
Segurista (lack in risk taking), Hiya (loss of face/shame). These are what I chose. SOmetimes because of
the wants to be wealthy we tend to forgot the pakikipagkapwa-tao. We tend to put each other down just
for us to go up, people tend to think only for what is best for them, and also imitating other products.
These are not good values for it will lead us into a bad ending as an businessmen/women. Also if we are
afraid of taking risk then we won't be able to reach our goals same with loss of face/shame.
