Qualitative Research Case Study Study Habits
Bataan SY 2021-2022 10 Working students
During Pandemic Criterion Sampling
2 Paragraph
nd
This qualitative research was conducted to analyze the study habits of working students
in Bataan during the pandemic. The study mainly focuses on studying the cases of 10 working
students from Bataan. As a case study, it is an in-depth study of one person, group, or event. In
a case study, nearly every aspect of the subject's life and history is analyzed to seek patterns and
causes of behavior. Criterion sampling involves the selection of sample based on some pre-
established criteria. These criteria are used for identification and selection of information-rich
cases related to the study of interest.
The researcher is the primary research instrument in this qualitative study The interview
guide is another useful tool. This unstructured interview guide was created by the researcher and
is based on the study's objectives. There are five (5) questions in total. Interview questions are
designed to gather information about the participants' real-life experiences as well as their
coping mechanisms. The research questions are validated by a group of experts using validation
matrix to identify its appropriateness of the questions to the research participants. The research
participants are asked for their consent on sharing their answers for the 5 questions and both the
researchers and participants agreed on.
Focus group discussions are used to collect data. Depending on the participants'
preferences Due to the impossibility of conducting a personalized interview, this will be done
via social media platforms such as Facebook Video Conferencing. These platforms allowed
qualitative research to be conducted. Similarly, because of its widespread use, it offers potential
options for this type of research. Interviews are taped and verbatim transcribed. Thematic
network analysis is used to analyze the data. It's described as a series of web-like illustrations
that summarize key points (Stirling, 2001).
Direction: Draft the Significance of the Study section of your approved research title. You may
go back to the given examples in this lesson or look for other sample research papers to serve as
your guide in doing this activity. Use the given template.

From the template that you accomplish above, write your significance of the study (in
paragraph form), based on the example in the discussion during synchronous class.
The following terms are defined according how they are being used in the study:
The Researchers. Being a novice in this type of issue is difficult for STEM students,
such as the researchers. As a result, this will be a method that will lead and steer them
in identifying dependable, and comparable aspects that are recognized as important
STEM Students. It is vital to state that not all STEM students are fully aware of the
aspects that have a significant impact on their professional success and condition. This
research will provide them with the knowledge they want to avoid undesirable
Aspiring STEM Students. One of the biggest reasons for performing this study is to
assure its relevance to aspiring STEM students who may also use the information listed
in each chapter of the research. For the time being, they have no idea what awaits them
when they enter STEM, but it will be useful if they want to go to STEM. Furthermore, all
of the material to be enlisted from top to bottom is viable to be put to their notes as an
