Kanjuruhan Tear Gas Tragedy

rival bebuyutan, Persebaya. Bentrok fans Arema FC dengan pihak keamanan pun tak
terhindarkan.

Guna mengendalikan massa, pihak keamanan lantas menembakkan gas air mata. Gas
air mata diduga memicu kepanikan di tribune. Para suporter pun terkonsentrasi di satu titik
pintu keluar sehingga terjadi penumpukan massa. Desak-desakan terjadi dan jatuh banyak
korban jiwa. Ratusan.Saat panik melanda semua orang keluar stadion. Pintu keluar pun
berubah seperti leher botol yang kemudian menjadi pintu maut karena orang menjadi sesak
nafas, bahkan terinjak yang lain. Oleh karena itu, terlepas anarkisme dari sebagian suporter
sepak bola Indonesia yang banyak di antaranya remaja yang masih memerlukan
pendampingan termasuk dari orang tuanya, situasi panik akibat penggunaan gas air mata
haruslah menjadi perhatian.

Pengamat sepak bola senior, Weshley Hutagalung, mencoba melihat tragedi di

Kanjuruhan, Malang dalam perspektif yang lebih luas. “Sedih saya bahas ini. Seolah protokol
pengelolaan sepak bola di Indonesia itu dianggap sepele, enggak mau melihat persoalan
secara komprehensif dan preventif,” kata Weshley Hutagalung kepada
KOMPAS.COM.Untuk itu pula penyebab pasti tragedi ini harus diungkapkan kepada publik,
selain mesti ada yang bertanggung jawab dalam peristiwa ini.Langkah ini ditempuh demi
mencegah peristiwa buruk itu terulang di kemudian hari sehingga semua orang lebih siap dan
lebih berhati-hati lagi dalam bertindak, termasuk dalam memastikan stadion diisi tidak
melebihi kapasitasnya.Upaya mengendalikan suporter yang beringas mestinya juga dipahami
sebagai tugas semua pihak yang berkaitan dengan sepak bola.
