    The petitioner has challenged the order dated 30.06.2022 whereby

    his services have been terminated.

    Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had

    rendered 30 years of service in the respondent-University. He had

    superannuated on 31.01.2018 and had been re-appointed initially for a period

    of three months, which was extended from time to time. The last extension had

    been granted on 02.06.2022 for a period of six months but his services have

    been terminated a month thereafter.

    Issue notice to the respondents.

    At the asking of the Court, Mr. M.K. Dogra, Advocate accepts

    notice on behalf of the respondents and submits that although the petitioner

    was granted extension in service for a period of six months but it was stipulated

    in the order that his services could be terminated even prior to the period of six

    months.

    The petitioner had superannuated from the respondent-University

    on 31.01.2018. He had been re-appointed on contractual basis initially for a

    period of three months which was later on extended. It was stipulated in the

    order that his services could be terminated even prior thereto. Therefore, I do

    not find any good ground to interfere while exercising writ jurisdiction.

    However, the petitioner would be at liberty to avail alternative

    remedy, if otherwise permissible, in accordance with law.
