    Core cutting for 132kV CABLE ROUTE

    METHOD OF STATEMENT

     Approval for Core cutting to be taken from DEWA along with caution permit/entry
    permit for Al Quoz substation.

     Work start notification should be given to concern department & work should be
    carried out in presence of DEWA.

     The working area should be isolated & proper barricading to be provided.

     Nearby existing cables & electrical equipment to be properly protected with Gunny
    bag/polythene sheet/plywood as shown in the drawing.

     Make sure the plywood protection to the nearby existing trough is stable.

     Core cutting location should be as per the approved drawing

     Necessary arrangements for collecting the lubrication water should be taken care.

     Execute the core cutting as per the attached detailed procedure .(from Tarmac )

     Photographs to be taken during the Execution.

     After completing the Core cutting & removal of hardened concrete piece, the side
    surface should be hacked with portable drilling machine where there is
    reinforcement.

     Make sure concrete surface shall be free from dust after completion of hacking.

     Non shrinkage grout material Poly grout NS to be applied on the surface to avoid
    rust in existing rebar.( if reinforced wall )

     Then proper curing to be carried out & painting to be done to match with the existing
    surface.

     After completing of activity all materials and wastages to be removed and proper
    housekeeping to be done.
