    OBJECTIVES
    What are the mobiles in art?

    It is a type of moving sculpture


    constructed to take advantage of the
    principle of equilibrium. It consists
    of rods, from which weighted
    objects or furthermore rods hang.
    The things hanging from the rods
    balance each other so that the rods
    remain more or less horizontal.
    What is mobile art called?
    At this point,
    "mobile" was
    synonymous with
    the term "kinetic
    art", describing
    sculptural works
    in which motion is
    a defining
    property.
    Clay is a favorite material of
    What is clay art? children for doing artworks or
    playing with. This kind of clay is
    called a modelling clay. The clay
    that potters and artists use is a
    different kind of clay.
    Objects made of clay are three-
    dimensional because they have
    length, width, and depth.
    Our hands and fingers are the
    best tools for making clay art.

    Pottery
    Ceramic art is art made from ceramic
    materials, including clay. It may take
    forms including artistic pottery, including
    tableware, tiles, figurines and other
    sculpture. As one of the plastic arts,
    ceramic art is one of the visual arts.
    What is clay used for in art?

    Clay has been used for many purposes


    including the manufacture of seals, bricks,
    tiles, jars, and jugs. In sculpture it has been
    used to make models for larger pieces, for
    moulds of works to be cast in metal, or as
    sculpture in its own right. Clay is also the main
    ingredient for all ceramic bodies.
    Vigan, Ilocos
    Sur is known
    not only for his
    historical and
    heritage
    landmarks, but
    also for its
    unique type of
    pottery known
    as Burnays.
    Burnays are unglazed earthen jars with small opening. They
    are used as storage for water, salt, the local wine or basi, and
    bagoong. Nowadays, in homes, offices and establishments.
    There are several facts to know about burnay.
     
    Filipinos are very skilled pottery makers. The jars they make are
    so well-made that local and foreign traders work with factory
    owners to order jars for markets abroad. The demand for these
    jars help the livelihood of the makers and the preservation of
    this craft.
