Principle of Kitchen design is one that you need t o consider, when you want
to have a restaurant business. As a owner/manager we need to get new ideas,
concepts and plans for using our kitchen space wisely by reducing the operating cost
or increasing productivity, and for the space of equipment’s, appliances, and
everything inside the kitchen. So, we need to planned everything about the kitchen of
the restaurant, so that it wouldn’t a waste of money making your kitchen. We surely
need the layout of our kitchen to be detailed, from the kitchen floor to counter space,
where each equipment be located and where each work center will be. A work center
is where the worker perform a specific task, and the work section is where the worker
perform, like cooking section, baking section and etc.
There are trends design in the kitchen where you can entertain customers,
like a display kitchen it is a full view of costumers while the kitchen staff is busy
preparing for the dish. There are other design like semi-open kitchen, the staff can be
seen preparing food from the waits up and it some kind of entertaining for the
costumers that they can see how their food prepare. Everything that we need in the
kitchen is well planned, especially for the design, because we need also to consider
is the concept of your restaurant, and if the kitchen design is match to the concept
then it will more appealing to the customer to come and experience to eat inside your
restaurant.
