For his important philosophy in science and astronomy, Nicolaus Copernicus came
to be called the "Father of Modern Astronomy".
2. Do you think thought experiment is still useful in science in the present time?
Answer: Yes, thought experiment is extremely useful to gather pertinent information not only in the aspect of science but also in our daily
lives.
Explanation:
Thought experiment is a method were your curiosity and imagination start to validate some possibilities and reasoning that you need to get
an actual step by step process to get a definite result. Theories and plots are helpful to scientific studies and experimentation to compare
and weigh different products and data of a particular research. This can be useful for
exploration
concluding a hypothesis
selecting a definite scale of answer
analyzing facts
implementing principles
Different experiments can portray vast results and may have a slight alteration and conclusion. Thru thought experiment, we can obtain
and narrow specific data to be honored. This is also applied on our daily routine as a normal and average person. We have choices, plans,
aspirations, hopes, tasks and duties that requires our sound judgement, imagination, and thought process and it leads to experimenting.
3. Do you think the Church should intervene in scientific activities?
No, I think church should not or rather they should respect and support the drive of those people to make use of their knowledge and
expertise as a means of finding improvements and advancements of our current living.
Scientific activities is a very broad topic to discuss, since science can befall into many types of categories that are just too far apart from
each other yet they are related. Scientist and even researchers are mostly people who contribute to the society in a hidden way, maybe
because of their terms and understanding of every single thing is different than that of a normal person.
The branches of Science:
1. Physical Science- this focuses on the non-living organisms in our world or even in space where learning about it will mostly be
derived from theories and high valued assumptions
2. Astronomy- the study of the celestial body, either the planets; the stars; the wide dark space and most possibly how did those
things formed or is forming
3. Chemistry- focuses on the elements and the microscopic components of a living matter or even the non-living ones
4. Biology- the opposite of physical science, this is where life of our well-being and other creatures roaming the earth are important
5. Physics- mainly is about complex experimentation of the earth's hidden ability and possibly pursuing also the space. It involves
various mathematical relations about the very form and action of things
6. Earth Science- focuses on the earth's very own structure inside and outside functions too
Those examples all have relations to finding proof and performing various types of experiments to fully understand what it is we can't
understand. Science is more like the other way a human can and will understand the nature of his well-being and his environments'.
Now, the Church is different subject since its knowledge and understanding is mainly from their beliefs and religion. God being the
supreme being that created all, while if it is science the world probably was created due to the result of some collision and other chain-
reacting ways. In Church there is a strict rule of being a human to others and to find our spiritual purpose.
