Project has 3 components:


1. Free Rein Chicken
2. Organic Fertilizer and Soil Ameliorant
3. Organic Production of Milkfish

Makabuo ng technolohiya para sa palay, mais, tubo, free reins chicken, iba pang gulay, at organic
production ng bangus, at iba pang products na magagamit ng magsasaka at mga fish goers para sa
mataas na ani, kita, sapat at ligtas at masustansyang pagkain para sa Pilipino.

2nd Study – Stocking Combination of High-Value Species and Polyculture with Milkfish in Algae-Rich Pond

1st study have two feeding trial (jan21 –nov 21) (may 18-october 18)
Activities
1. Layouting and construction of experimental pond (1 fish pond compartment ½ hectares divided
into 27 experimental compartment, 1 compartment is 150 square meter
2. Treatments and design (1st factor, feeds – malunggay, kangkong, kamote leaf) (2 nd factor,
stocking system – milkfish, milkfish and mud crab, milkfish siganid polyculture)
3. Preparing the experimental pond and growing od natural food
4. Stocking (mud crab and siganid directly into the pond-2,000pcs per hectare/30pcs per
compartment while the milkfish into nursery pond-5,000pcs per hectare/75 pcs per
compartment)
5. Feed & Feeding – 30% crude protein (other ing: tilapia meal (fish meal), rice bran, cassava flour)
cooked for 15-20 mins and made to pellets. Fed the fish according to the 3% of total weight of
fish per compartment. Divided the feeds into 3; 7am, 11am, and 5pm.
6. Water management and monitoring (water depth – 50 to 60cm)(palit ng tubig pag may high tide
at idadrain ang 1/3 to ½ water volume) (water depth gauge to measure the water) (water
visibility is also measured and temperature and salinity and oxygen)
7. Stock Sampling –every month (cm for body length, weigh scale for body weight)
8. Harvesting (partially drain, gumagamit ng seine)(Total drain and hand-picked fish) (Fish are kept
in a sealed container while crabs are caught alive)(measured fish weight, length and survival
rate).
-Recommendation for milkfish monoculture, milkfish & mud crab polyculture, and milkfish & siganid
polyculture is malunggay leaf based, kangkong leaf based and camote leaf-based feed.

Making organic feeds


1. Identification of organic feed sources- green leaves (malunggay and camote leaf).
2. Sun drying for 3-4 weeks hanggang lumutong
3. Grinding/ Pulverizing
4. Addition of fishmeal (main source of protein), rice bran and cassava flour (source of
carbohydrates). They buy fishmeal (trash fish) in fishing port. They also sun drying and
pulverizing it.
5. Formulation of three different feeds based on the computed amount of ingredients
6. Addition of water and cooking for 15-20 mins
7. Cooling 3-5 mins
8. Pelletizing using meat mincer then sun drying for 1-2 days tapos ilagay sa sako pag okay na

Stocking Combination of High-Value Species and Polyculture with Milkfish in Algae-Rich Ponds

It has 2 trials:

1. April 7 - August 8, 2017


2. February 12 – June 12, 2018

Meron din itong mga activities

1. Lay outing and construction of experimental pond- They construct 12 experimental ponds with
a measure of 150 square meters.
2. Treatments and design- They used RCBD or Randomized Complete Block Design with 4
treatments and 3 replications.
 Stocking (Density? 18:08 sa video) for Milkfish- Treatment A has 3,000 pcs per hectare
or 45 pcs per compartment. Treatment B has 5,000 pcs per hectare or 75 pcs per
compartment. Treatment C has 7,000 pcs per hectare or 105 per compartment.
Treatment D has 9,000 pcs per hectare or 135 per compartment.
 For Sugpo- Treatment A-D has 3,000 pcs per hectare or 45 pcs per compartment.
 For Alimango- Treatment A-D has 2,000 pcs per hectare or 30 pcs per compartment.
3. Preparing the experimental pond and growing natural food-starts with pagpapalabas ng tubig
at pagpapatuyo ng lupa sa araw hanggang magkaroon ng bitak to kill unwanted bacteria.
Pinapantay rin ang lupa habang isinasagawa ito para mapadali ang daloy ng tubig sa time of
harvesting and paghuhugas. They used apog, tisid powder, and (permika? 20:10) in fishpond
with same measurement (0.5 tons per hectare or 7.5 kilograms per compartment). The
application of tisid ay nakadepende sa lalim at lapad ng lupa (1kilo per compartment). Next ay
pagpapatubig sa lalim ng 3cm-5cm para tumubo ang algae. Pag marami ang tubo ng algae,
dadagdagan ang tubig ng 50 cm sa loob ng 1 month.

5. Water Management and monitoring-pinapalabas ang tubig sa sukat na 1/3 to ½ ng water
volume at papalitan ng bagong tidal water. Chinecheck ang temperature, linaw, alat, and
dissolve oxygen (DO) na nasa tubig.
6. Pond stock sampling-10 pcs na bangus hinuhuli kada buwan after 30, 60, 90, 120 days of
culture. Sinusukat ang haba at bigat gamit ang ruler at digital weighing scale.
7. Harvesting-after 4 na buwan o 120 days. Hinaharvest ang milkfish gamit ang net at yung iba
pinupulot. Sinusukat ang timbang gamit ang ruler at weighing scale. Kinukuha rin ang datos ng
production at survival rate ng mga isda.

Resulta ng proyekto: Pinakamataas na resulta sa mean body weight (80.92 to 210.58 g), length
(13.31 to 22.05 cm), survival rate 66.92 to 100%. Walang masamang epekto sa production,
kailangan lang ng sukat na 3,000 to 5,000 milkfish per hectare.
 Treatment A- 3,000 pcs milkfish per hectare
 Treatment B- 5,000 pcs milkfish per hectare

Step 1: Pond bottom sun drying- para matanggal ang bacteria na nakasasama

Step 2: Pond bottom levelling- para gumanda ang daloy ng tubig sa panahon ng harvest

Step 3: Pond Liming-para ma-neutralized ang soil acidity

Step 4: Pest eradication (teaseed powder application)

Step 5: Flushing (paghuhugas ng pond para maging malinis ang fish pond area)

Step 6: Flooding

Step 7: Vermicast application- to fertilized soil, may dami na 0.5 tons per hectare

Step 8: Final water replenishment- 3-5cm hanggang umabot ng 50 cm sa loob ng isang buwan ang lalim
ng tubig
Step 9: Pond stocking

Step 10: Pond monitoring- ichecheck yung water quality parameters, water temperature, water salinity
o alat ng tubig (15 to 25 or 27 parts per thousand), visibility (hindi bababa ng 20 cm). 20 to 21 degrees
Celsius lang dapat ang temperature ng tubig. Yung dissolve oxygen (DO) ay dapat 15 to 30 parts per
million.

Step 11: Pond stock sampling- gagamit ng digital weighing scale at ruler para sa haba ng isda. Ginagawa
yun pagtapos ng 30, 60, 90, 120 days of culture.

Step 12: Harvesting- ginagapos ang alimango, nilalagay sa chilling stuff na lalagyan ang fish.
