Load calculation
Pile cap shall be designed for maximum pile capcity in compression (for bottom r/f). It shall be designed as continuous slab spanning between two
piles
Span , L = 2.75 m
width of panel, b = 1m
Maximum distance b/w two piles = 2.75 m
Compression capacity of each pile = 900.00 kN
UDL due to capacity of pile = 900/2.75 = 327.27 KN/m
Calculation of Steel:
Load Factor = 1.35
Bending Moment = 1.35x327.27x(2.75)^2/10 = 334.2 kN-m
Area of steel required in Wall, Ast,Required = {(Mu*106)/[z(0.87*fyk)]}
pt % = 100*Ast/(b*d)
pt % = 0.288
Punching shear to be checked at a distance 2d from face of the column/reaction point. As per clause 6.4.2 (2) of EN 1992-1-1:2004, control
perimeters at a distance less than 2d should be considered where the concentrated load is opposed by the effect of a load within a distance 2d of
the periphery of area of application of the force. So, punching shear shall be calculated at a distance such that no overlap will occur with another pile
reaction. Effective width considered is 2.2m
Punching shear check at 1.65d distance from face of column (for max spacing b/w two piles = 2.7m along periphery)
Basic control perimeter, U0 = π(D + 3.3d) = 6906.791 mm
Area within control perimeter, A=π(D + 3.3d)2/4 = 3.8 m²
Area contributing each pile, Ac = b x L = 6.05 m²
