1 SCOPE
Scope of this specification is to describe the minimum requirements for painting systems of steel
structures, piping and equipment for the 300,000 MTA EB/SM PLANT EARLY WORKS PACKAGE,
located in Alexandria.
Additions, Clarifications and Amendments are referred to paragraphs of Badger Licensing LLC
doc. 142648-21000-OTXXXX-0001.

3 CLARIFICATIONS
3.1 For structural steel to be fireproofed with cement based products system EM (Epoxy Mastic
for Use as a Fireproofing Base) can be applied with abrasive blasting grade Sa 2,5 minimum.
4 AMENDMENTS
Sect. 5.3.3 Upset conditions as steam-out and relief temperature are taken into account for
the selection of coating system.
Sect. 5.3.3.1 Materials listed in TABLE III shall be updated and verified for market availability
and suitability.
Sect. 5.4.17 To assess curing of inorganic zinc, a MEK test shall be performed in accordance
to ASTM D4752.
Sect. 11.0 Additional tagging for equipment including information on coating system shall be
provided only if required by the Owner.
TABLE II Coating system for uninsulated Stainless Steel shall be provided with a finish coat
for weather exposure:
