    In this research task you will explore how esports is organized and structured
    in the UK. 

    Students must fill out each box below to the expected minimum word count, all research
    sources should be link at the bottom of each box, Wikipedia does not count as a research
    source. Source links do not make up total word count of a question box.

    What role does the government play?

    According to www.esports.net/news/government-support-esports-growth/
    governments play an important role in esports future. They state, “government
    support is vital for ensuring the continued growth of Esports”. The government can
    recognize the esports space as a professional industry as well as the esports
    players as professional athletes. The government also funds for esports and
    influence esports tournaments.

    How is esports defined under UK law?

    According to www.britishsportslaw.org/esports.html , esports is also heard as
    electronic sports or professional gaming that commonly takes the form of an
    organisation. They also mention that on one side, some say esports are not real
    sports but some argue that the details required for esports like planning and such
    would be classified as sports.

    What role do the British Esports Association play?

    to be in college, to create pathways for teens seeing jobs and careers in gaming
    and esports. They have associated with global education publisher “Pearson” to
    create and develop the first ever esports BTEC. Doing this would promote
    teamwork and other skills that may be picked up during this course.
    How does esports fit within the wider video game industry?

    together gamers from all over the world to play together and gain rewards. Esports
    supplies people with skills, such as, communication skills, teamwork skills and it
    could provide jobs and exciting activities. This could connect with teenagers and
    perhaps help them with their futures.

    What tournaments take place in the UK?

    According to “Britishesports.org” there are many esports tournaments that take
    place in the UK, such as, “ESL UK & Ireland” which hosts several weekly and
    community cup events in many types of games. “Insomnia” they hold many
    tournaments over the course of its weekend LAN event, it runs twice a year in
    Birmingham.

    Your lecturer will inform you of how to hand in on Moodle ready for the work to be
    checked, this will also need to be uploaded to the Unit 1 page on your WIX website.
