Biodiesel is a clean burning substitute for petroleum-based diesel-fuel.

Biodiesel is made of
vegetable oil.

To manufacture Biodiesel, you must first start with raw materials. The raw materials
needed in the production of Biodiesel are a small amount of methanol and a ready supply of
vegetable product. One of the most common vegetables used in the production of Biodiesel is
corn, although depending on the geographic location of the manufacturing facility many other
plants are used as well (rapeseed, soybeans, flaxseed, etc.). The first step is to use the raw
vegetable product to make vegetable oil. Vegetable oil by itself will not be what you need to
power a car; from here it has to be processed into Biodiesel.

The process for converting vegetable oil into Biodiesel is sometimes called ester
interchange. To complete this process the vegetable oil has to be combined with a smaller
amount of methanol and then put in the presence of a small quantity of an alkaline catalyst (for
example, 5% to 1% sodium hydroxide). Vegetable oil is made up of so-called triglycerides, which
is a compound of the trivalent alcohol glycerin with three fatty acids. The goal of ester
interchange is to separate the glycerin molecule from the three fatty acids and replace it with
three methanol molecules. This process then yields roughly 90% Biodiesel and 10% of a glycerin
byproduct. The glycerin byproduct can be used in a number of other chemical processes for
different industries.

I had the most unforgettable experience in my life when I was 18, as senior high student. It
is an experience about helping a blind man to cross the street.

I still remember that day vividly. That night I had studied at school library; it was around
10 o’clock, and I prepared to go back home. As I passed through the school gate, I said goodbye
to my friends. Suddenly I saw a strange thing in front of me.

There was a male standing beside the cross-walk; the traffic light was green, he could walk
forward, but he didn’t. He was just standing there and made no actions. I was confused at this
sight. Out of curiosity, I decided to walk over to him and to see what was happening. I felt
perplexed until I walked next to him. Standing beside him, I could see he was wearing
sunglasses and holding a white stick; then I knew this man was blind.

In this cold winter day, pedestrians all wore heavy coats, including him and me. His was
gray and mine was black. I also noticed that there was a sign around his neck. The sign said “I
am virtually deaf and blind; please help me cross the street. Tap me on the shoulder.” I knew I
must help him. So I tapped him on the shoulder, and then he put his left hand on my right
shoulder and I led him across the street. All the process was quiet; the only thing I could hear
was the sounds of our steps. It was a chilly night too, but I knew he would feel warm at this
moment. When we got across the street, he bowed in thanks, and started walking up the block,
to the next corner, then the next. While he walked past me, I couldn’t help but start to weep. I
wanted to walk him home. It was not a very busy street, almost deserted. He could have been
there, on that corner, for 10 minutes. Maybe he is still at another corner, now, waiting. How
does he get home? How does he know where his home is? Thinking of this, I cried more loudly.

I can’t imagine being deaf and blind. You would be so helpless and dependent on other
people. Can you imagine going home like that every day: walking a block, then waiting for
someone to help you get across the street, then walking another block, and waiting, relying on
the kindness of strangers? After this incident, I realized how blessed I am. I should cherish every
day and do my best to help the people who need help in my life.

Hurricanes generally occur in the North Atlantic from May through November, with the
pack of the hurricane season in September, only rarely will they occur from December through
April in that part of the ocean. The main reason for the occurrence of hurricane during this
period is that the temperature on the water surface is at its warmest and the humidity of the air
is at its highest.

Of the tropical storms that occur each year in the North Atlantic, only about five, on the

It was the dawn of science and technology. Anything seemed possible even the creation of life
itself. Victor Frankenstein  becomes obsessed with this idea and works relentlessly to prove his
theories; but the glory he imagined becomes a living nightmare - not only for him, but for hos
friends and family too.

Mary Shelley’s gothic horror story-frankenstein - was first published in 1818 and has been the
inspiration behind numerous stage productions and films - many of which strayed a long way
away from her original masterpiece. Classical comic presenting a full-colored graphic remains

Blind Date

Aliazalea second novel, first novel "Miss Pessimistic", entitled "Blind Date" tells the love story of
a 27-year-old girl named Titania. Titania is an Indonesian girl who lives in the U.S.. Cultural
differences are encapsulated in the theme of love becomes the background of this novel.

Setting of the novel that takes an area in North Carolina, America, is well described by the
author so that the reader can imagine the situation there. Once, Titania was heartbroken
because of her love affair with Brandon, a young lawyer,  expired. That was the end of the
relationship because of Titania caught Brandon cheating. Not only that, Brandon also has the
heart to say that no man wants make a relationship with Titania.

To prove the words of Brandon is not true, and also because her brother's insistence, Titania
registered at a dating agency to meet with someone who fits the criteria. While waiting for the
list of men who will meet Titania, she met a programmer named Rilley, in the "Fresh Market".

The first unintended meeting continued to other meetings that make Titania feel something in
her heart. Rilley is actually one of the list of the men who organized the matchmaking. The
stories of romance was continued after they realized about it.

The depiction of American men on Asian girl becomes the topic that I love from the whole story,
even though overall, I liked this novel. The nice delivery story by the author, Aliazalea, will make
the readers will not be willing to blink their eyes when reading the novel "Blind Date". The
attractive story packaging that flows from the back yard increment to the flesh, not far from the
previous page.

With the advantages of the novel, "Blind Date" could be a recommendation for readers of
romance novel lovers.

Everyone likes to group things. Language students group word as verbs, nouns and so on;
collections of words are classified as phrases, or clauses, or sentences, and these again are
reclassified according to their function. In the same way, botanists classify plants as algae, or
fungi, or gymnosperms, etc. Zoologists classify animals as vertebrates and investigate. The
vertebrates can be further classified as mammals, reptiles, birds, fish, etc.

Classification enables us to keep hold of more information and, if it is based on the right data,
enables us to understand better the ideas we are studying. Chemists are no exception. The
chemical classification of materials, if it is based on a good system, should enable us to
understand better the many substances which exist in our word. What is to be the basis of our
classification? Perhaps the most obvious one is appearance.

Materials could be classified as solid, liquid or gas with some mixed types as, for example, mud
being solid/liquid material and steam a liquid/gas material. Appearance could enable us to
subdivide our main classification groups a little further; the solid may be green, or black,
powdery or crystalline; the liquid may be colored, oily, thick, or free flowing; the gas may be
colored. However, we soon realize that many probably quite different materials have the same
appearance. Both air and the deadly carbon-monoxide gas, are colorless, odorless gases, but we

materials.

Ngaben

Ngaben, or Cremation Ceremony, is a funeral ritual performed in Bali to send the deceased to
the next life. The body of the deceased will be placed as if sleeping, and the family will continue
to treat the deceased as sleeping. No tears are shed, because the deceased is only temporarily
absent and will reincarnate or find final rest in Moksha (freeing from the reincarnation and
death cycle).

The proper day of the ceremony is always a matter of consulting a specialist on ceremony days.
On the day of the ceremony, the body of the deceased is placed inside a coffin. This coffin is
placed inside a sarcophagus resembling a buffalo (Lembu) or in a temple structure (Wadah)
made of papier-maché and wood. This sarcophagus is then borne to the cremation site in a
procession, which is almost never walked in a straight line. This is done to confuse evil spirits
and keep them away from the deceased.

The climax of a Ngaben is the burning of the sarcophagus containing the body of the deceased.
The fire is viewed as necessary to free the spirit from the body and enable reincarnation.
Ngaben is not always immediately performed. For members of the elite castes, it is normal to
perform the ritual individually for the deceased within three days. People of lower social classes
opt for a more economical solution where they first bury the deceased, who is then cremated
with the village's other dead in a mass ceremony.

Cut Nyak Dhien

Cut Nyak Dhien or Tjoet Nja' Dhien (Lampadang, 1850 – November 6, 1908, Sumedang)
was a leader of the Acehnese guerrilla forces during the Aceh War. Following the death of her
husband Teuku Umar, she led guerrilla actions against the Dutch for 25 years. She was
posthumously awarded the title of National Hero of Indonesia on May 2, 1964 by the Indonesian
government.
Cut Nyak Dhien was born into an Islamic aristocratic family in Aceh Besar in VI mukim
district in 1848. Her father, Teuku Nanta Setia, was a member of the ruling Ulèë Balang
aristocratic class in VI mukim, and her mother was also from an aristocrat family. She was
educated in religion and household matters. She was renowned for her beauty, and many men
proposed to her until her parents arranged for her marriage to Teuku Cek Ibrahim Lamnga, the
son of aristocrat family, when she was twelve. On 26 March 1873, Dutch declared war on Aceh,
beginning the Aceh War.
In November 1873, during the Second Aceh Expedition the Dutch successfully captured
VI Mukim in 1873, followed by the Sultan's Palace in 1874. In 1875, Cut Nyak Dhien and her
baby, along with other mothers, were evacuated to a safer location while her husband Ibrahim
Lamnga fought to reclaim VI mukim. Teuku Ibrahim Lamnga died in action in Gle Tarum on June
29, 1878. Hearing of this, Cut Nyak Dhien was enraged and swore to destroy the Dutch. Some
time after the death of her husband, an Acehnese hero Teuku Umar proposed to her. Although
she rejected him at first, she accepted his proposal when Umar allowed her to fight, and they
were married in 1880. This greatly boosted the morale of Aceh armies in their fight against the
Kaphé Blanda, or Dutch infidel. Teuku Umar and Cut Nyak Dhien had a daughter together named
Cut Gambang.

TREE PLANTING CAMPAIGN IN EAST KALIMANTAN

BALIKPAPAN, East Kalimantan (JP) : A campaign has been launched in East Kalimantan to
plant thousands of trees in a number of locations, including Balikpapan.
To help stop global warming, in that city alone, 20, 300 trees were planted on Saturday.
Azimah Imdaad, the wife of Balikpapan’s mayor, participated in the tree-planting activity,
part of a regreening effort involving 571, 000 new trees for East Kalimantan.

Head of East Kalimantan forestry office Budi Pranomo said 300, 000 hectares of forests in

Throughout history man has changed his physical environment in order to improve his
way of life. With the tools of technology he has altered many physical features of the earth. He
has transformed woodlands and prairies into farmlands and made lakes and reservoirs out of
rivers for irrigation purposes or hydroelectric power. Man has also modified the face of the
earth by draining marshes and cutting to the mountains to build roads and railways.
However, man’s changes to the physical environment have not always had beneficial
results. Today, pollution of the air and water is an increasing danger to the health of the planet.
Each day thousands of tons of gases come out of the exhausts of motor vehicle; some smoke

countryside. The air in cities is becoming increasingly unhealthy.
The pollution of water is equally harmful. In the sea, pollution from oil is increasing and
is killing enormous numbers of algae, fish, and bird. The whole ecological balance of the sea is
being changed. The same problem exists in rivers. Industrial wastes have already made many
rivers lifeless.

Charles Ives, who is nowadays acclaimed as the first great American composer of the
twentieth century, had to wait many years for the public recognition he deserved. Born to music
as the son of a bandmaster, Ives played drums in his father’s community band, and organ at the
local church. He entered Yale University at twenty to study musical composition with Horatio
Parker, but after graduation, he chose not to pursue a career in music. He suspected correctly
that the public would not accept the music he wrote, for Ives did not follow the musical fashion
of his times. While his contemporaries wrote lyrical music, Ives transfigured music and musical
form. He quoted, combined, insinuated, and distorted familiar hymns, marches, and battle songs,
while experimenting with the effects of polytonality, or the simultaneous use of two or more
keys, and dissonance, or the clash of keys with conflicting rhythms and time. Even when he
could convince some musicians to show some interest in his compositions, after assessing them,
conductors and performers said that they were essentially unplayable.
Instead, he became a successful insurance executive, building his company into the
largest agency in the country in only two decades. Although he occasionally hired musicians to
play one of his works privately for him, he usually heard his music only in his imagination.
After he recovered from a serious heart attack, he became reconciled to the fact that his
ideas, especially the use of dissonance and special effects, were just too different for the musical
mainstream to accept. Determined to share his music with the few people who might appreciate
it, he published his work privately and distributed it free.
In 1939, when Ives was sixty-five, American pianist John Kirkpartick played Concord
Sonata in Town Hall. The reviewers were laudatory. One reviewer proclaimed it “the greatest
music composed by an American.” By 1947, Ives was famous. His Second Symphony was
presented to the public in a performance by the New York Philharmonic, fifty years after it had
been written. The same year, Ives received the Pulitzer Prize. He was seventy-three.
