I. TITLE:
GENDER AND COVID 19 IMPACT
(Gender-based violence in the Covid 19 outbreak)
II. RATIONALE
According to United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) ,Gender-
based violence (GBV) increases during every type of emergency –
whether economic crises, conflict or disease outbreaks. There is a
higher risk of sexual and gender-based violence during the COVID-19
pandemic.
During this enhanced community quarantine, children could be at a
higher risk of being exposed to online predators, e.g learners on online
exploitation ; abused women, vulnerable children during lockdown.
III. OBJECTIVES:
To significantly raise awareness of teachers and other stakeholders on
issues women, girls and children are facing during lockdown
V. MEASURABLE OUTCOME:
•Documentation in the form of pictures .
•List of registrants
•Liquidation receipts
