Material Consumption
i have noticed in my experience quite a lot of engineers and supervisors are not aware of
the material consumption norms for various civil activities. due to which the are not a
position to place their requirements to the purchase departments resulting in project
delay and materiel wastage's etc. in the following note i try my level best to enumerate
the material consumption for various civil works for everyone knowledge.
The Following are the Quantity Of Materials Required for the Concrete Works Of
Different Types all concrete consumption based on the nominal mix.
15 mm thick
Cement = 0.342 cu.m. or 10 Bags
Sand = 2.05 cu.m. or 59 Bags
20 mm thick
Cement = 0.456 cu.m. or 13 Bags
Sand = 2.74 cu.m. or 79 Bags
6 mm thick
Cement = 0.192 cu.m. or 6 Bags
Sand = 0.77 cu.m. 22 Bags
