Actions to Achieve 2011 Reading Targets


Actions to Achieve Targets
1. Review assessment data with Staff and determine the particular learning needs of target students 2. Hold Monthly monitoring meetings to discuss progress of target students 3. Review existing programmes and provide tailored responsive support to meet the learning needs of target students 4. Work with parents, families and whnau around ways of supporting students learning. 5. Moderate assessment procedures and OTJs to ensure school-wide consistency 6. Review consistency of student achievement monitoring systems through the school self-review & appraisal systems 7. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching practice and access to PLD tailored to teachers specific needs. 8. Analyse end-of-year data to inform progress and planning for the following year.

Provide professional development for teachers to enable them to involve children appropriately in decision making concerning their learning. Recognise and celebrate childrens contributions to the planning and the teaching and learning processes.
