Motivational Letter
I find myself always passionate to build up my career at the international arena,So I'm writing this
motivation letter in relation to my master’s application in International Business at Vrije Universiteit
Brussel for the upcoming intake in September 2022. I have read about the Master’s of International
Business at your University through your website. As a Bachelor and Master’s in Business Administration,
my latest goal is now to become an International Business expert while having International perspective on
Business instead of domestic one and goes beyond the traditional line of thinking. Moreover, holding a
masters degree from abroad at International Business will give me a competitive edge over other potential
job candidates.And I believe that VUB is where I can fulfil my dream. Through this motivational letter, I
would like to put forward my candidacy for enrollment in this course.
This is Md. Saiful Islam and I obtained my Bachelor and Master degree of Business Administration
Program from two several reputed universities of Bangladesh with a remarkable CGPA of 3.12 and 3.48
out of 4.00 scales respectively. I have acquired the crucial aptitudes of analytical reasoning, Business
research, and business management, including foundation courses in International Business, Introduction
to Business, Financial accounting, operation management, Business Communication, Legal Environment
of Business, Management Information System, Foundation of computers and applications, Management
Process, Human Resources Management, Statistics etc.
I am really enthusiastic to attend the Masters in International Business at Vrije Universiteit Brussel in
order to understand different International Business concepts and its applications to more complex real life
situations. The master’s program of this university will be the ideal preparation for my career because of
its professionally planned career-driven modules. The courses of international business degree will be
provided different functional business areas such as Strategic Management, International Trade,
International Law, Advance International economics, IT modelling, Project Management, Global Banking,
Decision Analytics, Supply chain management, Risk management and many more, which will boost my
next career where I want to go. And it will also help to get into any vital job role.
Besides, my academic qualifications, I have more than 3.5 years of work experience with two different
organizations. Besides this, I have been an enthusiastic participant in many co-curricular activities. Even in
my university, I have tried to contribute as much as I could to get involved in many on-campus events as
well as in group works. Apart from that, I have conducted an internship program at Mutual Trust Bank in
Bangladesh. It is a reputed bank in this country. Currently, I am working as an Accounts at a private
company and my key responsibilities are to prepare end of period and end of year accounting statements,
management of transactions, payroll management, cash management and financial reports and so on. I
need international perspective and I have to hone my technical Business skills. Thus my enthusiasm to do a
master’s degree in International Business from abroad energized.
The Kingdom of Belgium is my first choice as a foreign country for my study because it is a highly
developed and safe country with good quality education standard, which is one of the best in the world. It
is also a beautiful country with a welcoming and friendly culture. Located at the heart of Europe, it will
give me the opportunity to live and work in an open international society, to visit new places, to develop
new interests and friendships and become more independent.
After searching the information on the Internet, I know that Vrije Universiteit Brussel is not only
recognized as one of the best university in Belgium, but also the high quality of education that offers with
the suitable tuition fee for students from developing countries like me. Furthermore, attending the difficult
course at your University would be a chance for me to challenge myself, discover my abilities, and bring
out the best of me. Finally yet importantly, Vrije Universiteit Brussel also offers me great networking
opportunities to study in a dynamic environment, to work with people from different nationalities and
these will help me not only in academic but also in social relationships. And I can imagine a new me as a
change for the better after pursuing the course at your University. These grounds had previously led me to
choose to be the part of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel .
If I get opportunity to enroll my master’s program at your University then it will give me the privilege to
develop new relationships with peers from overseas.Other than this, I like performing social work as I have
volunteered for numerous charitable works in Bangladesh. So, I have a desire that I would like to start a
non-profit organization in Bangladesh for underprivileged children as well as for women to provide them
education, employment, and vocational training. Being a student at VUB and studying in The Kingdom of
Belgium is very important to my parents and me. As I'm the only child of my parents,they always try to
give me all of their support be it mentally or financially.I will dedicate all of my efforts to fulfill my
dream, to make my parents proud of me.
I am really grateful for the given opportunity and time to review my motivation letter. I believe that I will
be able to enrich this program by bringing a high level of energy, motivation and diversity. I am really
interested in this program and I believe my determination and my academic background combined with
my work experience may meet your requirements. After completing my graduation from VUB, I have
determined to come back to Bangladesh or join a multinational company where I can enhance my gaining
skills.
