Since established in 1973, Poongsan FNS has produced advanced fuzes and core sensors
for guided weapons for clients in the defense industry based on technologies and expertise
accumulated over 40-plus years. In the precision manufacturing sector, Poongsan FNS
also has manufactured nuclear fuel assembly parts (top & bottom nozzle) and other
precision components/parts, and has been recognized for excellence in the global markets

In 1992, Poongsan FNS established an R&D Center to develop state-of-the-art fuzes and
sensors in a holistic manner – by participating in the development of weapon systems.
Poongsan FNS combines traditional ammunition production expertise with precision fuze
technologies and cutting edge sensors to develop guidance weapons in cooperation with
the Agency for Defense Development, the Defense Agency for Technology and Quality and
prestigious universities.

Product Introduction: Fuzes

Fuze Products
Poongsan FNS has developed and supplied a wide range of fuzes used for the
national defense on land, at sea, and in the air. In particular, Poongsan FNS’
fuzes are a key component in MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System)
warheads, which are a supreme weapon for ground forces. We also supply
127mm point detonating and proximity fuzes for naval gun ammunitions, along
with 40mm high-speed grenade fuzes, mortar fuzes and 2.75-inch rocket fuzes.
