Extra notes:
*These felt pieces were made specifically for my amigurumi. You may have to alter the size of
your pieces if your amigurumi ends up being larger or smaller than mine.
Hair:
1. Cut and insert hair: Cut about 40 pieces of yarn (6 in. long), then use your crochet hook to insert them into the head with
a slip stitch.
2. Brush out hair: Use your pet brush to brush out all of the yarn. I like to section it off to make it easier. I brushed out 2
different sections, then brushed them all together. You can use the other comb to brush it all out again to make sure you’ve
got everything.
3. Glue down hairline: Use the hot glue gun to glue down the hairline. Do about 1-2 inch sections at a time, as the hot glue
dries fast. Put the glue right at the edge of the hairline where the black yarn meets the brick red yarn of the head. Bring the
hair over and press and hold it there several seconds until it has dried. Then continue on until you’ve done the entire hairline.
4. Hot hair iron: This step is optional, but I do recommend it since it makes the hair smooth and silky. Section off the hair
again, then use the hot hair iron over each section. After ironing each section, brush the hair out again.
5. Style the hair: Cut the excess hair off, then style it so that the hair in the front looks a little spiky and the rest just lays
against the back of his head. Use hot glue and hairspray to secure in place.
Repeat these steps for his tail. You should only need about 8-10 peices of the yarn.
