WELCOME MESSAGE

Colleagues and friends,

It is truly a great pleasure to inform you that The 25th Annual Scientific Meeting of Indonesian
Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon (InaPRAS) will be held at
Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, Indonesia, from August 10th to August 13th , 2022. The theme chosen
for the 2022 meeting is “Adapting The New Normal, The Next Journey in Plastic Surgeries”.

Together with the organizing scientific committee they will work hand in hand to come up with
inspiring and challenging topics relating to various aspect of plastic and reconstructive surgery
delivered by expertise.

The second time, InaPRAS will hold the PERAPI Bowl, a quiz competition between plastic and
reconstructive training centers across Indonesia. Aside from symposia sessions the scientific
programs will also contained various workshops, master classes, Research Proposal and Free
Paper Competition (podium and e-poster). Finger cross that in 2020 we will have the recipients
of the Pisau Emas (Golden Knife) and Teratai Ungu (Purple Lotus) Award. So let’s wait no more
and start to prepare your scientific paper. The abstract submission deadline is May 28th, 2022 and
please upload your abstract at the congress website www.inaprasmeeting.org

With the easy access of Visa on Arrival (VoA) for 60 countries and international airport, Jakarta
city is more than ready to entertain you. Jakarta has extraordinarily developed and would be the
tourism forefront in Asia over the few decades. Amusement Park, skyscrapers buildings, high
fashion shopping centers, finest culinary dining, entertainment place and nightlife certainly made
Jakarta as one of demanding tourism city. Therefore despite of the scientific meeting place also
bring your family to enjoy Jakarta.

Please kindly pay attention to following guidelines:
1. Important Guidelines
• There are two types of presentation: poster and oral (podium) presentation. Please select one
of them. Please indicate your choice in the top corner of your abstract: Oral Presentation or
E-Poster
• Committee will decide on the final presentation type (oral presentation or E-Poster)
• The abstracts should be within 300 words (maximum half A-4 size page) and the entire
submission must fit on a single page.
• Please Note: graphs / tables / images should not to be included in the abstract.
• Abstracts should be prepared in Microsoft Word Arial, 12 point with single line spacing,
typeface, with the title in boldface.
• It is the author’s responsibility to submit a correct abstract. Any errors in spelling, grammar or
scientific fact will be reproduced as typed by the author.
• The abstract should have a short, specific title (containing no abbreviations) that indicates the
nature of the investigation. Title should be in boldface font. The title should not exceed 20
words in UPPER CASE only.

2. How to name and send the abstract


• File name format for Oral Presentation: Presenter name-abstract name-Oral
• File name format for poster: Presenter name-abstract name E-Poster
• For submission of abstract and for guidelines please send via email with attached Microsoft
word file to [email protected], before the deadline in order to be sent for review
and approval prior to its inclusion in the scientific program.
• Last date for submission of abstract is June 10th, 2022 Notification of acceptance of abstracts
submitted will be sent by e-mail at the latest by July 4th, 2022

3. Abstract Guidelines (300 words or half page of A4 size page)


• Background/Rationale: Indicate the purpose and objective of the research, the hypothesis
that was tested or a description of the problem being analyzed or evaluated.
• Methods: Describe the setting/location for the study, study design, study population, data
collection and methods of analysis used.
• Results: Present as clearly and detailed as possible the findings/outcome of the study,
with specific results in summarized form. Inclusion of gender breakdown of data is strongly
encouraged.
• Findings or Conclusion: briefly discuss the data and main outcome of the study. Do not begin
sentences with numerals. Standard abbreviations may be used without definition.

PERAPI’S BOWL
First Announcement
Get ready for the celebrations of friendship among Indonesian plastic surgery residents in a quiz-style series at this
year’s InaPRAS meeting in Jakarta.

Designed to foster a spirit of friendship and sportsmanship in the plastic surgery residency program, the 2022 PERAPI’s
Bowl will field teams of 3 residents goes in an exciting fast-paced quiz session. Highlights include multiple-choice
questions, short answer questions, and perpetual grand trophy prizes that will reside with the winning team during the
following year.

Secure your tickets to the InaPRAS meeting and register your residents team! Up to 8 team spots available, contact
the meeting organizer for more information.

FAQ
1. When and where will the PERAPI’s Bowl take place?
InaPRAS 2022 Meeting, Jakarta.
2. How does it work?
Teams of 3 residents, up to 8 teams, will join the fast-paced quiz by answering questions. The rounds ( 20 questions
each) will be played in a multiple-choice or short-answer ”quiz-bowl” format with a mix of questions including
plastic surgery, plastic surgery history, and general (non-plastic surgery) trivia. Teams will continue to play until
leaving the two teams compete on stage for the final round.
3. Who can apply to play in the PERAPI’s Bowl? And how do I apply?
Any plastic surgery resident who is attending the Annual Meeting can apply to create a team of three, from the same
residency programs. Any resident who would like to participate should contact the organizer to register their team.
4. Is there audience seating for non-residents?
Yes, there are seatings for audience members, just as long as they have a badge and are registered to attend the Meeting.
5. Are there prizes for the winners?
Yes, a perpetual grand trophy prize that will reside with the winning team during the following year. Certificates will
be presented to the winners as well as gifts from sponsors and donators.
6. How were the questions developed?
A workgroup of PERAPI members representing all subspecialty areas developed the questions. They were
selected in a way that the neutrality and confidentiality of the questions are ensured.
7. Are there rules and guidelines for the PERAPI’s Bowl?
Yes. You can contact the organizer for the rules and guidelines.
8. Will signing up for the PERAPI’s Bowl also register me for the Annual Meeting?
No, you will have to do that separately. Registering for the annual meeting is mandatory. You will need to be
registered for the Annual Meeting in order to participate in the PERAPI’s Bowl

Structure and Rules


A. Participant Selection:
• All residents must be registered for Annual Meeting to apply, attend and/or participate
• Any plastic surgery resident can apply to create a team of three, preferably from the same residency programs.
• Participants for the PERAPI’s Bowl will be capped at 8 teams.
B. Structure of the PERAPI’s Bowl
Prior to the start of the round, there will be a warm-up. Questions will be posed to serve as an icebreaker and
demonstrate the rules.
C. Rounds:
• There will be 1 rounds of 20 questions each. Correct answers will get plus score.
• Each round will have a mix of questions including plastic surgery, plastic surgery history, and general (non-
plastic surgery) trivia. Teams will respond via buzz bell (provided at the table)
• If a team buzzes in before the emcee is finished reading the question, the emcee will not finish the question
until an answer is given.
• Once the buzzer is pressed, the team will have 5 seconds to answer
• If the first team that buzzes in does not answer correctly in the final round, the other team will have the
opportunity to answer the question
• In the event of a tie, additional questions will be asked.
• After the final round is completed, the emcee will announce the winning team.
• The remaining two teams will advance to the Final Round.
D. Audience Rules
• The audience must remain silent throughout the game.
• You cannot signal or message the participants.
E. Miscellaneous:
• Dress Code - can be casual. Dress up if you wish!
• No penalty for incorrect answers
• Points will be awarded for each correct answer
• Judges have the final word on all answers
• Cheating will not be tolerated. This includes Cell phone use, Personal tablet use, and Communication of any
kind with the audience. The entire team will be disqualified
• Participant no-shows will be disqualified.
• Questions and answers will be given in English
