Information about the pattern
“C2C” – Corner to corner is crocheted in chain stitches, half double crochet and slip stitches.
As the name indicates the pattern is crocheted from one corner to the other corner.
“C2C” consists of small “squares”. For each row you crochet a new square will appear.
And when you decrease, there will be one square less for each row you crochet

Pattern/Instructions:
Crochet with double thread if you use 8/4 or single thread if you use 8/8
Increases

Chain 2 (replaces 1 hdc). Crochet 3 hdc in the same stitch as you just crocheted your ss and 2 chain
stitches. Now, you have made another “square”. You should now have 3 “squares” in your row.

Repeat the rows until you have 25 “squares”.

Now your placemat has reached the desired width, but it should be made longer, so now we start
decreasing in one of the sides, so it becomes rectangular. Insert a stitch marker so you know exactly
which side you have to make your decreases.

Cut your leather strap so it measures xx inches. Make a hole in each end. Fold the leather strap around
