I. Introduction
Dame Anita Roddick established The Body Shop in 1976. It all began with a modest green shop in
Brighton and a conviction in something revolutionary: that business can be a driving force. good. For over
40 years, we have broken the norm, never went against it, and changed it in accordance with our founder's
vision. Products using ethically and naturally sourced ingredients from across the world, no-frills
packaging, and readily reused bottles for refills; and beauty routines developed for everybody, helping
women feel good about their skin - never promising to make them look like anyone else. The Body Shop
is currently renowned as a worldwide family with 40,000 employees in over 100 countries (The Body
Shop, 2022).

Consumers are becoming more knowledgeable when it comes to selecting a selection of skincare and
beauty products. Furthermore, rivals understand how to please clients better. As a result of this alteration,
consumers and employees have been pleased, and the interface of The Body Shop at Vincom Da Nang has
been renewed.

This report will define project and project management, as well as to conduct a research analysis of the
project management plan, work breakdown structure, and Gantt chart. Conduct research to determine the
right working environment for employees, as well as collect data from individuals in the organization to
improve and develop better in the future. Finally, the data gathering strategy and weekly log report are
shown. This study report will go through the findings and offer viable solutions.

II. Project management

1. Definition of project and project management
According to Williams (2008), a project is a series of interconnected activities and actions carried out in
order to attain a certain objective under time, resource, and financial restrictions.

Project management is the science that analyses the planning, organisation, management, and monitoring
of a project's development process to ensure that it is finished on time, within the budget approved, and
meets particular project goals and objectives. The primary aim of project management is for work to be
completed to specifications and quality standards, within budget, on schedule, and with the project, scope
remaining intact Williams (2008).

The project life cycle consists of several different phases: Project Initiation, Project Implementation,
Project Closing Inception Phase, Concept, Project Definition, Design, Evaluation, Selection, Initiation
Deployment, Planning, Scheduling, Work Organization + Monitor, Control, Close, Deliver and Evaluate
(Williams, 2008).

2. Theme introduction
The Body Shop is one of the UK's major cosmetic companies, it has been in the market for over 40 years.
But in order not to fall asleep on the victory, I am a representative of the company that created the project
"Application of skin scanners in daily care and consultation". And a dermatoscopy is a device with a
magnifying machine that can see all the problems that are appearing on the skin. To help users find the
products that best suit their skin, to achieve the best results. Because today, appearance plays an important
role in everyone's life, the birth of this project both contributes to helping customers have beautiful skin
and helps employees to be confident and comfortable. Easier in product consulting. In addition, designing
and changing the dressing table, testing cosmetics on the skin to both freshen the space in the store and
help people see the defects to find the right product from the consultants of the company's store.

3. Project aim/ objectives

 Aim: The common purpose is to give employees the convenience of introducing products as well
as giving the best advice to customers. As well as being flexible to each skin type, each customer is
different.
 Objectives: The purpose of the plan is to create a comfortable environment for employees to work,
be dynamic in their work and create a new feeling, and stimulate creativity in product consulting
work. As well as making it easy for employees to communicate and collaborate in a cosmetic store
environment.

III. Research project management plan

1. Description
To be able to do this, you will need:
Meiboyi multi-layer iPad skin scanner: correctly diagnose skin problems, the extent of damage that
customers encounter. It helps employees to easily advise products to customers as well as improve the
staff's level for customers.

A set of tables and chairs with a large mirror and LED light: for applying makeup and testing products on
customers' skin as well as helping staff to advise better. This offers a nice light source and a spacious area
for employees and consumers to utilise and speak about cosmetics.
Sample products of The Body Shop include: skincare and makeup: sample products can help staff easily
advise and test suitable products on customers' skin, as well as employees have the right to test products
on skin to know the pros and cons of the product.
Professional staff in the field of skincare and makeup: improve consulting skills and consulting experience
for employees through the training period of the proposed project

shirt" and swiftly re-engage customers. The scope will be altered at the Vincom
Plaza Da Nang branch, specifically the sales department.

Project acceptance Functional requirements: LEDs have a lot of light to ensure staff can easily advise,
criteria skin scanner users can know what skin problems are, and sample products bring
users to know do I fit or not
Technical requirements: the time the dermatoscopy responds to the customer is less

June 28, 2022 Data collection and analysis about the project
June 29, 2022 Summarize if the basic aim can be achieved

6. Quality
What determines the success of the project:
- Professional and advanced knowledge about skincare and makeup products is provided to
employees after 2 weeks of methodical training. As well as incorporating more knowledge that I
have and have at the current company.
- The Body Shop's project is successful thanks to its ability to grasp the situation and make timely
and right decisions. When there is feedback on the project, it is necessary to know the cause and
change it completely.
- A creative and dynamic environment will bring employees positive energy, and support and help
employees to have many good achievements in the company.
- Collect official information in major newspapers, and do field surveys at competitor companies
- Questionnaires will be collected from people who have been using cosmetics and services at The
Body Shop, including employees.

7. Risk and resources

 Risk:
- Lack of technical human resource training because nowadays to hire a trainer for employees is
a high price, moreover the quality of information about skincare and makeup must be
guaranteed.
- The employee voluntarily quits his job during the training process for reasons such as finding
another place with a better job, unplanned pregnancy, being manipulated by competitors,...
manpower shortage
- Do not rest assured because the device is damaged unexpectedly such as the machine cannot
start, the button on the machine is faulty, the screen is broken, the chair is broken, the table is
cracked, ...
 Resources:
- Staff from other branches/facilities will be dispatched to compensate for the lack of manpower
- The Body Shop has a parent business in the UK and subsidiaries in many other countries ready
to help budget if there is a shortage.
- Professional technicians, always rest assured and enjoy many incentives that the company
brings and a reasonable salary for their own capacity.
- Is a famous, long-standing corporation known to many customers around the world, and has
actor and model Kim Hyun Joong as its face. In Vietnam, there is a cooperation between
blogger Giang Oi, and beauty blogger Trinh Pham, ...

8. Communicatoon plan
Employees will communicate through a range of channels, including Zalo, Messenger, Telegram, Google
Meet, and Zoom.

IV. A work breakdown structure and a gantt chart

1. A work breakdown structure
According to Devi & Reddy (2012), Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) is described as "a hierarchical,
distributable segment of work performed by the project team to meet project objectives and produce the
requisite goods." It organises and specifies the project's overall scope. Each successive level reflects a
more thorough description of the project's work. The work breakdown structure (WBS) is divided into
work packages. The hierarchy's deliverable orientation encompasses both internally and externally
disseminated items (Devi & Reddy, 2012).

To make a WBS:
1. Define the project.
2. Define project limits.
3. Determine the project deliverables.
4. Identify Level 1 components.
5. Break down each Level 1 ingredient.
6. Identify team members.
7. Create a Gantt chart to go along with the work breakdown structure.
(Devi & Reddy, 2012)

Work breakdown structure of this project:

2. A gantt chart
Gantt charts are one of the oldest and most extensively used project management tools today. The
horizontal bar in this management chart represents the actions on the vertical axis, while the equivalent
time is depicted on the horizontal axis (Wilson, 2003). The figure is divided into two major sections:
The job titles are shown on the vertical axis.
The horizontal axis depicts the task timelines.
Gantt charts have become a helpful tool for project planning, scheduling, and management because of
their basic yet clear information arrangement (Wilson, 2003).

V. Data collection plan
1. Questionnaires for the survey
Choosing the method of data collection by questionnaire is the fastest way that I can use because now in
the era of technology 4.0 we always have smart machines by our side and when using the exam
questionnaires Even if you are far away, you can still do it. Moreover, the questionnaire will help the
employee to be less confused when answering the question and save more time.
The questionnaire designed by Thuy An

The purpose of this survey: is to help me know if my project is really a success or failure and what still
needs to be changed in this round of projects.
This questionnaire consists of 4 parts:
 Part 1: Tell us about yourself (4 questions)
 part 2: How do you feel about skin scanners? (5 questions)
 Part 3: Reactions to the training period (8 questions)
 Part 4: How do you feel about The Body Shop? (1 question)
2. Interview questions for the survey
Question 1: Do you consider the company's remuneration appropriate for your position?
Question 2: Is the working time at the store appropriate? Do you want us to extend our business hours?
Question 3: Can the company's present personnel match the company's needs? Why?
VI. Literature review
Innisfree Cosmetics' Da Nang branch used to use skin scanners in regular staff consultations. And this
move has helped the business both improve sales and assist personnel gain confidence and
professionalism in order to better advise consumers on items (Innisfree, 2022).

The benefits and merits of altering the working environment have been numerous. First, as a digital
workplace must give numerous alternatives for customising and evolving employee communication and
interaction networks, as well as engaging employees as members, exploit their talents so that they function
at their best with the least amount of difficulties. Second, by offering the necessary engineering resources
that collaborate, productivity gains may streamline process and boost efficiency. Furthermore, with a
technology that can be used at any time and from any location, businesses are more likely to generate new
ideas from disparate knowledge bases and increase internal communication. They will then be able to
learn and adjust to the results. This will allow them to alert the office or firm of major changes (Missap,
2021).

However, executing digital transformation requires understanding the benefits and drawbacks of
embracing a digital workplace, as well as how firms may strike a balance in terms of people. On the
advantages side, the company-trained competence helps employees enhance communication and connect
with others more confidently. Attracting and keeping talent is also a significant advantage if the firm
understands how to leverage technology to offer value to the organisation and its customers. Allowing
workers to communicate, cooperate, and provide awards and recognition enhances engagement and
general pleasure at work, allowing performance to be measured and employee engagement and retention
levels to be increased. Additionally, digital transformation will boost revenue by increasing overall
efficiency in corporate operations, and saving time and resources while leveraging capabilities. On the
disadvantages side, large expenses are unavoidable due to the cost of updating and training the existing
employees to utilise the new software. Furthermore, employees will inevitably oppose change. Because
individuals are afraid of not knowing, and because introducing a new work environment may produce
uncertainty in your firm, employees may become reluctant to change (Corbin-Herbison, 2019).

VIII. Conclusion
Project planning aids in improving the working environment of employees and retaining talent inside the
organisation. Above all, this initiative allows us to learn more about the personalities of each member in
the firm so that we can implement stronger employee regulations. A project has been finished, not to
mention the efforts of personnel and colleagues to task execution. Through this initiative, I hope to impart
to workers professional knowledge and atmosphere, as well as to better employees' lives in general.
